Do Illegal Aliens Have More Rights Than US Citizens?

Obama seems to think so.  Obama is currently trying to stop the execution of Humberto Leal Garcia, who was found guilty of raping and murdering a 16 year old girl.  Apparently, she drove off with Garcia after a party and she was later found naked and dead by the side of the road.  He came home with blood on him and his bite marks were found on the body so there doesn't seem much question as to his guilt in the matter.

Apparently, the BIG crime committed by Texas authorities was that they treated him like a US citizen and didn't tell Garcia when he was arrested that he could contact the Mexican consulate.  Since Garcia had been in the United States for around 20 years, coming into this country when he was 2 years old, I could see why it wasn't an automatic thing to tell him to contact the Mexican consulate.  It's not like he was a tourist who did something wrong on vacation, he had been here for 20 years!  Texas authorities were just treating him like anyone else who they were investigating of a crime.  Given the equal protections clause of the 14th amendment, I don't see how you can argue with a straight face that he should be treated any differently.

I do realize there are some complicating factors in this case.  There was an International Court of "Justice" (ICJ) ruling in 2004 that 51 Mexican nationals in US prisons were not properly told of their rights to contact the Mexican consulate upon their arrest.  And by treaty we are supposed to abide by their rulings (though the states can't technically be compelled to).  However, it seems to me that upholding this treaty would give unfair and unconstitutional advantages to illegal aliens as compared to US citizens as their treatment and sentencing would be held to a higher standard.  If a born and bred Texan would have been executed for the same brutal rape and murder, why shouldn't Humberto Leal Garcia?

And because it is racist to ask if he was a US citizen, how can the police be held accountable for NOT telling him about counselor assistance.

Sanctuary cities won’t allow the police to ask about the legal status of criminals, so how will they know if suspects are Mexican citizens who can get help from their embassies?

We are so screwed up.

Yes.
Law enforcement is told to keep their hands off and not to ticket or other them for driving without a license, insurance, or registration.
DWI?
Ignored in some places as well.

Adhering to that treaty would mean NONE of the illegals are beyond the jurisdiction of Mexico ~ and that'll turn their chilluns born here into Mexicans (SEE: 14th Amendment).

If Obama understood that ~ which he's not capable of doing anyway ~ he'd be encouraging Texas to hurry up and get that bad boy on his way to na na land.

Another example of an anti-American imbecile giving the electorate another reason to kick his butt out of the White Hut!

Where is our leader to get the job done?

LOL! That’s a great point. You’ve got to know they are illegals before you ask them if they want to talk to the Mexican consulate. Unfortunately, if you ask them, you’re a “racist”. What a joke. Our legal system REALLY sucks.

Also, in the Moslem’s view, women have no rights at all and are, in fact, breeding livestock. His liability is to the girl’s father, not to the government or society. Property destruction is really the only problem here.

Really, contacting the Mexican Consulate was going to change the fact that he raped and killed a 16 year old girl ?

Keep up my tanning session agreement, maintain fluency in spanish, drive unregistered, uninsured, and uninspected vehicles with no driver's license to offer the police.

How to enjoy American Liberty!

So they should amend the Miranda warning to include “...and if you are illegally in this country from another country, you have the right to contact that country’s consulate for assistance....”. Should cover most situations.

I know this is a controversial statement, but the whole illegal alien problem is ultimately the fault of the numerous businesses which utilize them; whose entire business models’ viability depends on them. If it wasn’t for this large contingent, the problem would be gone. Overwhelming majorities of citizens oppose catering to illegal aliens.

Right out of a Joseph Heller novel, isn't it?

American state-ism logic is not within a construct of rational thought.

The end goal is declared by the head of state thinking, and then all state laws and processes are at right angles to get there. This leaves only the political goal, millions of government jobs to enforce the unenforceable, and the frustrated public to pay both bills.

Bizzrroworld is where we live.

Now that is a great basis for a new law that the libs can’t claim is racist:

“In order to ensure that the rights of all citizens from other countries are upheld in regards to consular notification, police will determine the citizenship of everyone detained where there is reasonable suspicion that the person may hold foreign citizenship.”

Directly cite cases like this while arguing the law. Why didn’t we do this long ago?

Actually, the illegal immigration issue is one of national security, that being we need 50 million replacements for the 50 million we aborted in order to keep social security alive.
