This is has been bugging me for a very long time. Why is the MSM getting away with lying for this administration? We all knew Obama was a Marxist, friend of Marxists, sat in Rev. Wright's church for 20 years, listening to the hate America, hate whitey rhetoric.

We all knew he is or was a Muslim, who is doing everything in his power to destroy Israel. We have all seen him befriend countries that hate the US and Israel, yet piss off our allies.

We have all seen the gaffes (57 states anyone?), the lies about jobs and the economy, the destructive nature of his policies which are costing Americans jobs and bankrupting the nations. We have all seen his love of the unions, his hatred of corporate America and his ambition to wipe out the Unites States energy industry while openly telling other nations we will buy from them.

We all know this. But why doesn't the rest of the country? Why are people being kept ignorant and uninformed of something that if left unchecked will rival the takeover of Venezuela by Chavez and bankrupt us like it did Europe?

In my humble opinion, Americans are not calling out the industry responsible for telling us. The MSM. Each day that they can spout their misinformation and lies to the citizens of this country, our country sinks deeper int the abyss.

We need an army. Not a military one, but an army of citizen reporters who will take on the MSM. An army that every day will find these people, stick microphones and video cameras in their faces and ask them why are they lying to America. An army that will spend every day posting these confrontations on Youtube.

Reagan taught us how to beat back the march to Communism. You get in their faces, you confront the lies and you bankrupt them both ethically, morally and financially.

It is time we fight back. It is time to confront the Matthews and Olbermann's of the MSM and ask them why they are lying for the administration. Show them for what they are. It is my belief that if this can be accomplished, our younger generation will see everything for it is. And hopefully the statement this will make will resonate throughout America.

Thoughts?

Every day that we don’t watch them is “taking them on”.

Because the MSM is all media. You can’t take them on because they control the release of information. It does not matter what you catch them on; they simply will not show it because they (the MSM) decide what we see.

Just let the MSM be. Everyone knows that they are 100% in the tank for Obama and propping him up will become ever more difficult. Let the MSM have all the rope they want...it'll end up around their necks.

Reagan had the bully pulpit, and he knew how to use it. That was the best way to combat the media.

We had to fight them off in 2004, and we won.

They redoubled their efforts in 2008 and they won.

2012 will be their most viscous effort yet, ESPECIALLY if we nominate Bachmann or Palin. It will be maddening to see how they smear the GOP nominee.

The MSM hates America. That won’t change. We have to continue to boycott them and their products.

I do like your idea about confronting them, like Jason Mattera and James O’Keefe.

Get your RINO reps to explain things in both a rational way (for conservatives) and an emotional way (for ‘rats) on a daily basis.

Don’t watch them and don’t patronize their sponsors. Let the sponsor know that you’re not patronizing them and why.

in my mind, i see a website that shows MSM print stories quoted in a column on the left with rebuttle concepts/facts in a second column on the right...point - - counter-point

similar thing for MSM TV...transcript in the left column, counter-points in the right column

all done as closely to real time as possible.

could be formatted similar to Drudge...big stories at the top...links to all the media sources at the bottom

In a few years your question will be answered. The Internet is already taking over the flow of information. People are more informed now than they have ever been....

If we can keep the Internet free from government censorship. And you are on the best website possible.

We have to win back the culture.
If you have kids interested in the arts, media, etc., ENCOURAGE them.
We don’t have nearly enough Conservative kids involved in the creative arts..

No, “everyone” does not know. We here on this site certainly do, but the majority of the electorate don’t know who Eric Holder is, couldn’t name even ONE Supreme Court Justice or wouldn’t know that 0bama has run up spending through the roof.

Sadly, most Americans just catch snippets of news, and will probably just start paying attention in the first week of November next year.

The media love affair with dems (and esp. this POTUS) is disgusting, and we must pray to God to rectify this situation.

You are posting on "what we're doing about it".....

And the real problem is a large percentage of the American people that think there is a free lunch.

Cancel your cable TV. You’ll be giving the MSM $1,000 less revenue per year!

Point taken. The MSM would love an upfront fight...we shouldn't play the game on their home turf but trust that they will screw up all on their own. They are in the unenviable position of trying to defend the indefensible.

That is a excellent idea, but the power of herd politics and normalcy bias will not allow the breaking of the influence the media has to sway the sheeple with their lies.

I feel it’s more important to shake the redeeemable lost sheeple into awareness that what they believe is news is equivalent to Third Reich propaganda demonizing Jews.

Funny, there are many posters on this board that believe the MSM is on a 'death watch'. Yet they're still out there shaping public opinion ... IIRC, in 2004 there was a reporter that stated that MSM cheerleading accounted for 15 points of John Kerry's poll numbers.

We ignore the MSM at our peril.

What makes the MSM what it is is NOT the reporters/personalities such as Chris Matthews and the like... They are a dime a dozen. Even if a majority of them were to be exposed and imprisoned for crimes, they would only be replaced with people just like them... overnight.

Public boycotting does have it’s impacts, but it will not bring the propaganda machine down. If it could, the major establishments would have folded by now. Fox has been out ranking all other media organizations combined for a long time... and yet the propaganda machine has not backed off or balanced out their programming one bit. It is clear that profit is not the primary goal of the MSM.

Unlike the individual, most advertisers and businesses could care less about where their advertising dollars go, because profit IS their primary goal... and there is nothing wrong with that. Just as businesses cannot expect our patronage (it must be earned), we cannot expect businesses to fulfill our individual role and responsibility of government by the people. Yes... businesses influence our politics in all sorts of ways, but again, that motivation is profit driven. It is OUR responsibility to take measures that limit the power of businesses and government to prevent the very thing that is now taking place.

The MSM is only one major player in a multi-tiered system that has been implemented against this country since the end of the cold war. Our education system, the media, our elected government, and the judicial system. Unfortunately, each of these systems are so far compromised that using any of these institutions to bring down the other is going to be next to impossible. We have seen this first and foremost with the Obama eligibility issue.

However, of these systems that have been compromised, it is the MSM that represents the greatest opportunity for reversal, and the most powerful tier to effect changes in the others. It may actually be the king pin for stopping the spread of communism in this country... So you ask how we take it down? Well, as with any evil entity, you cut off the head of the snake.

Money that the MSM has comes from people like Soros, and the federal government through all sorts of laundering schemes, grants, and backdoor deals. Advertising may be a big chunk, but I doubt that it is critical to survival.

The head of the snake I believe is the almighty dollar.
The primary strategy of the communist movement is to overwhelm the current system through the courts and government action... and that takes money. One of the ways we can fight back is to employ the same tactic against them. Instead of defending our values in court, we should be attacking theirs. When the MSM organizations are spending money in court defending their status as an unbiased news organization, they cannot spend the same money attacking the constitution by electing communist representatives. It should be fairly easy to demonstrate in court that specific news organizations are not news organizations at all, but active political groups posing as unbiased news entities. Not only should we be competing with these news organizations in the market place with alternative media, but we should also be attacking them every time they publicize a lie which impacts us. The freedom of speech is NOT the freedom to lie. But we shouldn’t stop there... we need to dig for dirt on them just like they dig for dirt on us... and I mean going after everybody from Chris Matthews to George Soros.

Up until now, the right has been fighting an uphill battle because it is focused on defense and competition.

I can think of no better example of where a good offense is the best defense. We need to take advantage of every single institution and resource we have to TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE ENEMY!
