I would argue that computers have no place in the classroom K-12.

after this clip, I am so glad I didn’t waste my time watching the actual event. What a bore. The dude sitting in the other chair looks so awkward. What a mess of an event.

I would argue that with the advent of the computer, and the internet, there's little or no need for the classroom.

I thought that all his tweets would be handled by his “peeps”, however, with this response I know it is coming directly from dumbass Obama directly.

It was better than Ambien. The Twitter guy almost made Barry look masculine.

The computer doesn’t teach anyone how to think, it is merely a tool for research. As good as that may be, relying on it to teach youngsters is foolish.

I don’t need leftist NEA members to teach my kids how to think. They already know how to do that, even the ones who are under five years of age.

Not what I’m saying. Schools should be run at the township level of government...and townships would hire teachers far more accountable to the parents within the township than the present system where the Feds have some sort of unconstitutional say in the matter.

That’s the way it used to be. That’s what the school board is for. The board members (parents) used to be the ones to determine curriculum...now it’s the state/federal governments. THEREIN LIES THE RUB!

I say no computers before 6th grade....and that's based on the assumption that they have mastered the 3 R's.

And stop the "You all MUST take a second language."

Computers are an unnecessary expense for township schools. Kids learn better without them. Computers are a great technology and thinking kids will master them quickly when they need to...teach them to think first.

Great. But big barns to herd the kids into to institutionalize them are still obsolete.

I’m certainly in favor of homeschooling before even the township schools....but the need for homeschooling would be far less evident when townships were providing education with NO outside (read County, State or Federal) intervention.

Well, relying on the brain-dead union-thug teachers to teach critical thinking is equally foolish.

This sounds like a job for the parents...or the prisons.
