Why I think Sarah Palin should run for president
The Treasure Coast Palm ^ | July 9, 2011 | Elizabeth Hawkes

Sarah Palin has stolen my patriotic heart because we both share a love for country and down-home American values and I am pleased to write this tribute to the next and first female American president.

Palin was thrust onto the world's stage as America's foremost political newcomer in 2008 and I was drawn to her by simply listening to the truth her words conveyed.

She spoke of reducing the size of government, her pride in her country and of fidelity to America's continued fight for freedom and liberty.

Now, more than two years later, Palin continues the fight by speaking out against government-mandated health care, abortion on demand, gun control that would strip us of our Second Amendment rights, and out-of-control spending in Washington.

For me, Palin embodies strength of character, grace under pressure and dignity that has elevated her above her accusers, who only tarnish themselves in their relentless attempts to malign her professional record and personal integrity.

Despite what some in the mainstream media would have us believe, Palin is a Godly, honest woman interested only in reducing big government and restoring our great nation to the principles on which it was founded.

I believe Palin should run for president of the United States, because she is the only candidate that both the Tea Party and independent conservative patriots can wholeheartedly support for the 2012 election, thus avoiding the need to support a less viable GOP establishment liberal.

Palin possess not only experience and an untarnished background but earned the trust of her constituents in Alaska and all constitutional social conservatives across our great land.

Sarah Palin is truly the people's choice and the only candidate who possesses the qualifications and knowledge to beat an incumbent Democratic president.

I believe Sarah Palin will run.

In running, she will show once and for all she is no quitter. It takes levels of courage and fortitude rarely seen to endure what she and her family have endured over the last three long years, and then step into the true lion’s den with sword in hand. Much less to do it with good cheer and a smile on your face.

Her leadership, integrity, charisma and vision will lead America back onto the path of greatness. I continue to marvel at the parallels between Sarah Palin and Ronald Reagan. It may indeed be a sign of divine providence that such great patriots arise exactly when America needs them.

Sarah Palin for President!!!

So you will vote for obama because you do not accept the reasons for the resignation? That is the beauty of a free country, you can make whatever decision you want. Even if it is to cut off your nose to spite your face.

I have a feeling Sarah will instead be nominated as a VP nominee, a lot of people apparently believe POTUS is strictly a mans job.

And thus the eventuality may be that again the next POTUS will be from Texas. Personally I hope not. I don’t think Texas has the right people for the next election.

If and when Sarah announces she may very well pull her VP nominee right out of the blue.

Sarah has everything we could ever ask for in a President of our beloved country. One of her best attributes is her moral clarity. I really think she could get this country back on the right track and root out the stinking corruption in DC that is destroying the very fabric of our republic.

RUN SARAH RUN!!

She was a rising star and a viable candidate, right up until 03 July 2009, when she quit.

You have so much to learn.

Leftist bastards from the lower 48 were bankrupting her family through frivolous lawsuits, all ultimately thrown out, but the Palins were still responsible for half a million of legal bills. This has proved to be a blessing in disguise, since Sarah as free agent has been a far more powerful force than she’d have been as a governor, running in place against Communist roadblocks emanating from all across the nation. PALIN/RUBIO ‘12!! Bob

I think she’d be wise to sit it out, suspect she won’t run, but if she entered the field tomorrow, she’d be my top choice over the current field.
