I like that list.

When I visit the various forums, I see the same discussions between liberals and conservatives over and over again. It would be very useful to have a large, powerful, crowd-sourced repository of arguments and evidence for conservatives to use in these discussions. It would be similar to the “21 Disgusting Revelations” list above, but it would be built by user contributions, and there would be many more lists covering many other topics.

Free Republic — or someone — should start keeping “talking points” lists that provide supporting arguments and evidence for key talking points that, like the current Free Republic article lists, are continually updated by user contributions.

There could be many, many (dozens of) talking point topics. For example they could include:

-Grievances against Obama (similar to the list above)
-Grievances agaist MSM and their left-wing bias
-Examples of government waste
-Why the level of the debt/deficit is so dangerous
-Examples of Obama cronyism
-Arguments supporting the Tea Pary
-Examples of liberal smear jobs
-Grievances against the unions

Again, these are common themes in debates between conservatives and liberals. Why make everyone think of the arguments and look up the evidence every time?

Instead of running streams of topical articles, this would be more of a “sticky” reference repository, where people could look up powerful material, well-crafted by users, to counter the arguments and attacks of liberals. Maybe when users post articles to the current streams of articles, they can optionally choose to add it as a supporting link to a talking point.

A group of administrators could be appointed to oversee the content and also to organize the categories. For each talking point topic, people would submit arguments/evidence with supporting links, similar to the way they submit articles now. For example, people could submit new grievances in the “Grievances Against Obama” topic. Others could add more links to support that argument as they come across them. There could be user discussion of the talking points. There could be an overall essay that summarizes the arguments for that topic. In order to bring the most relevant arguments to the top, users could vote for their top 5 or 10 arguments for each topic.

I think such a user-created and user-organized list of talking points, with supporting arguments and links, could be a very powerful tool for conservatives and independents to use against liberals.
