"Same here.... The simplicity of the pencil was telling when NASA did all the research an funding to support the fisher space pen. Russians brought a pencil. .....economically sound choice. In the service I carried 2 big flat carpenter pencils ... Even now I have one in my pocket. Flat ones dont roll off the edge of the earth...:o)"All my life, I've had a "fetish" for cedar pencils. I have packages of them that haven't been opened, stacked in shoeboxes. Every once in a while I go open a box and just enjoy the aroma and the feel of them. The pencil was a major step in technological advancement. I love them.
