Willie Sutton was a famous bank robber. When he was asked why he robbed banks, Willie said: “Because that's where the money is.”

To have the DoJ Inspector General do an investigation of his agency [Department of Justice] is like hiring Willie Sutton to do an audit of the bank he just robbed for the insurance company that insured the bank.

Question: Why is Acting DOJ Inspector General Cynthia Schnedar pursuing this case?

Is it because there isn't a full IG available?

Is it because the case is so radioactive that Schnedar is considered expendable or because she's a drone that can be trusted no not find anything’s been done wrong by her bosses?

Is because the top IG slot at DoJ has not been filled and so we have an Acting DoJ IG (that can be trusted to do the “right thing” for the DoJ interests, of course)?

Thanks jazusamo.
Department of Justice inspector general is launching an investigation into whether or not the DOJ illegally retaliated against one of the agents that revealed the gunwalking plot
Let's see, what could possibly go wrong with this approach...

ATF Whistleblower Speaks Out

Jun 30, 2011 - 6:15 - Vince Cefalu, who's being pushed out by the agency, discusses the botched gun operation

Fox News interview with senior agent Vince Cefalu. He says he has been terminated "along with dozens of others" (agents) due to their opposition to operation Fast and Furious. Says DoJ was intimately involved.

More Fox News video interviews with Vince Cefalu.

---------------------------------------------------------

Gunwalker: Smoking Gun Email?

An internal ATF email seems to support the assertion that Fast and Furious was a PR stunt for gun control.

PJM’s Bob Owens has long speculated that the primary reason for Operation Fast and Furious was to perpetuate the lie that 90 percent of illegal firearms in Mexico were from the United States.

Owens’ assertion was buoyed on Wednesday by internal ATF emails obtained by Townhall.com. One email reads:

"Can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same FfL and at one time. We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long gun multiple sales. Thanks Mark R. Chait Assistant Director Field Operations."

The ATF has said that there are still over 1,400 guns unaccounted for in Mexico, there were between 200 and a 1,000 guns "walked" to Honduras and new info from a Tampa ATF agent saying that guns went to other Central American countries. That is a lot of guns and every time some show up at the scene of a murder/shootout there will be new press about it. Especially if more LE agents are murdered with them. Especially if Hezbollah in Mexico gets a hold of some and murders some Americans with them.

This story has the potential to re-surface afresh for a decade with all those arms out there.

Here’s the deal.

This will be a long drawn out investigation. They DOJ will have to hire all kinds of investigators and lawyers. LOTS of per diems. With LOTS of expense accounts. This will go on and on until some nondescript Friday afternoon, all the accused will be declared innocent.
But there will be one overall catch all to explain the whole mess.

Bush’s fault.

You have got that right.

I’m not sure what is more depressing, this scandal itself, or the fact that some people think it will bring down this criminal administration.

Clinton got away with his crimes, period.

This chocolate reich will destroy it’s own nation just like the third reich before it’s stopped.

“The Justice Department’s inspector general has opened an investigation” and her first move will be to purchase a paper shredder powered by a Cat V-8 diesel engine.........Just guessing.

Maybe they’ll just borrow Hillary’s old Rose Law Firm unit. It has lots of mileage, so they should be able to get it cheap.

Schnedar - is he DNC bought?

If it is business as usual with the Dems and the Rinos, expect this guy to “investigate” and find some poor lowly schmoe who voted Republican in the last election, named responsible for the whole mess.

Sorry. Don’t get your hopes up on a Marxist DOJ investigation of itself. Holder is running a racist, criminal enterprise.
