Lame Duck President - Sarah Palin

Now the President is outraged because the GOP House leadership called his bluff and ended discussions with him because they deemed him an obstruction to any real solution to the debt crisis.

He has been deemed a lame duck president. And he is angry now because he is being treated as such.

His foreign policy strategy has been described as “leading from behind.” Well, that’s his domestic policy strategy as well. Why should he be surprised that he’s been left behind in the negotiations when he’s been leading from behind on this debt crisis?

Thank you, GOP House leaders. Please don’t get wobbly on us now.

2012 can’t come soon enough.

That is a nice take by Sarah Palin, and is perfectly accurate. I wish I trusted that this analysis originated with her and not from one of her paid analysts. Somehow, this incisive remark does not sound like her . She speaks in platitudes by habit and has never before come up with an original concept that wasn’t limited to the experiential, or could be found somewhere in a history book. Color me cynical on this tweeter/facebooker.

Entire text:
After listening to the President’s press conference today, let’s keep in mind the following:

This is the same president who proposed an absurdly irresponsible budget that would increase our debt by trillions of dollars, and whose party failed to even put forward a budget in over 800 days! This is the same president who is pushing our country to the brink because of his reckless spending on things like the nearly trillion dollar “stimulus” boondoggle. This is the same president who ignored his own debt commission’s recommendations and demonized the voices of fiscal sanity who proposed responsible plans to reform our entitlement programs and rein in our dangerous debt trajectory. This is the same president who wanted to push through an increase in the debt ceiling that didn’t include any cuts in government spending! This is the same president who wants to slam Americans with tax hikes to cover his reckless spending, but has threatened to veto a bill proposing a balanced budget amendment. This is the same president who hasn’t put forward a responsible plan himself, but has rejected reasonable proposals that would tackle our debt. This is the same president who still refuses to understand that the American electorate rejected his big government agenda last November. As I said in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Tax Day Tea Party rally, “We don’t want it. We can’t afford it. And we are unwilling to pay for it.”

As in that pivot to her Ed Rollins scripted answer to the question about corporations that don't pay taxes. Never answered the question but went straight to a rehearsed talking point. Guess Mr. Ed doesn't trust her to think for herself anymore.

She will be elected because of the Old Testament principle of the 40 year seed.

Conservative movement,(black) civil rights, then the womans movement- in that order.

Those who work for it will see the harvest in their lifetime.

It’s a womans turn in 2012. I hope its Palin and not Hillary.

Boner is an idiot though. He claims that he has ended negotiations but at the same time he is going to meet with the Bozo Saturday. He should not be taking that meeting, especially when Bozo more or less “commanded” that he and McConnell be there. The main things is, if you are not negotiating with the President any longer why are you taking a meeting with him?

No,you aren't a "cynic"; you're an anti-Palin troll, who goes on every single thread that even whispers her last name and trashes her.

It's a great piece and not another announced or unannounced candidate has come out with anything! WHERE ARE THEY.....waiting for someone to write something for them to say or write? *crickets*

Palin may be meeting with Baroness Thatcher, so I bet that she's read up on her. Using the "DON'T GO WOBBLY", in this case, is spot on and exactly what OI have said in my head, to all of the GOPers in Congress. So why on earth wouldn't Palin use it,since it fits so well?

"A tad to spot-on for the usual SP tweet shot........." ? Are you really that blinkered and biased? Her tweets and FaceBook zaps are ALWAYS spot-on !

RE :”Now the President is outraged because the GOP House leadership called his bluff and ended discussions with him because they deemed him an obstruction to any real solution to the debt crisis. He has been deemed a lame duck president. And he is angry now because he is being treated as such.:

I dont think so. Every act, every line, every statement in Obama’s phony negotiations has been part of his Obama2012 re-election campaign. Obama has created a fictional narrative/visual to the voter (who is not paying close attention) that he was willing to take political hits for getting his party (Democrats) to bite the bullet on trillions of dollars in spending cuts including entitlements in the ‘name’ of deficit reduction, cuts he could NEVER deliver and wont have to, and then further falsely claiming that he really didnt even ask the Republicans to raise taxes very much. He has been playing this act for weeks, why???

His original position was to demand a debt limit increase (that lasts past his re-election) with no strings attached. His plan was to drive down Republicans approval in polls over 'the negotiations' so that they in the end offer him what he originally demanded, the McConnel bill which is a clean debt limit increase. Then he will sign it and complain ala Obama 2012 how disappointed he is that he couldn't get that ‘big deal’ in deficit reduction, because Republicans just said ‘No-No-No’ (while the Democrats never agreed to anything) and so he was FORCED to accept a debt limit increase with no deficit reduction, no spending cuts and not even raising taxes. It is not over yet, Republicans have not yet caved, but this appears where this is headed.

Right now Democrats (especially Obama ) care about one thing, winning in 2012 to expand their agenda in 2013 starting with repeal DOMA. And do Republicans even want to win in 2012??

That’s even more curious. The body of the Palin commentary above was not above the pay grade of anyone here, to be able tear a page out of the news and add, “This is the president who....”, in front of each news fact. The “lame duck” thing though was interesting, I hand you that.
