No. Lincoln didn’t give a rat’s behind about blacks of slavery, until the politics of war forced him to. In fact, he was a White Supremacist. His Emancipation Proclamation was not issued until 1863, almost 2 years after the war began, and it did not free a single slave. It was a political ploy to try to turn the tide of the war (which the North was losing).
