That’s the problem when people start thinking about Rick Perry for president. He’s simply a tool of the business interests. Given the two-thirds REPUBLICAN majority in our state legislature, Perry could be calling special sessions from now until November 2012 to get serious reforms done...and special sessions only require a majority vote on legislation.

Eventually the Republican holdouts will get absolutely sick of being called back to Austin every month and relent and do what THEIR VOTERS want (they get paid crap while in session...they need that time to make money on the outside) - and pass some good stuff.

But that hasn’t happened with illegal immigration. Instead, that genie has been safely tucked away in its bottle, and other than some token legislation, nothing gets passed...and no discussions about special sessions. In other words, Governor Perry has NO INTEREST in taking on this problem.

So the bottom-line question is very simple: Do we want ANOTHER George W. Bush when it comes to illegal immigration? Because it’s more than obvious that Perry does NOT answer to his base on this issue.

Assuming there are 30 million illegals in America, that’s enough to fill more than 50 congressional districts.

A vote for a pro amnesty republican is a vote for a permanent democrat majority.

“A vote for a pro amnesty republican is a vote for a permanent democrat majority.”

Agree...and the writing is on the wall regarding the immigration positions of some of the Republican candidates (particularly Governor Perry).

No kidding...we became the 48th state to pass this type of law...it’s really embarrassing how bad we’ve been on illegal immigration.
