A Fresh, NEW PAUL for President anyone?

Senator Rand Paul has done an outstanding job as a freshman US Senator. He has stood his ground; he has not waivered and in every interview I have thus far seen, he has done an OUTSTANDING job articulating his remonstrance of why he could not support –any- of the bills put forward in the House or Senate.

We have a few historical precedents in this nation of sons of previous Presidents succeeding their former Presidential fathers and many such examples in the House and Senate.

I think that Rand Paul has clearly demonstrated... (continued)

He is very impressive and after watching him speak today, I am convinced that we need more like him in government.

No to both. Rand’s anti-Israel stance is like his father’s.

Anyone what this little smarmy turd from CNN interview Rand on CNN?

How Rand did not throw the mike down and walk away...I don't know. Unbelievable. Rude...lecturing. Condescending. Interrupting.

I want to scream.

President?
I don’t think so.

He’s faking a good game so far but in the end, he’s a geek studying to be a kook.

I had that concern about Ron Paul as well. If that would be the case, I agree with you as standing by Israel is a definite requiste, litmus test, for me as well.

I’m not here to proselytize for Rand Paul - and I agree his dad is a nut - but anyone who would like to learn more about Senator Rand Pauls views should take a few minutes an read his Budget Plan that can be found here:

I’m not sure I’d support everything he says, but I absolutely agree that this is how you get serious about cutting federal spending and getting back to a Constitutional role for the federal gov’t.

And for putting that on paper, Sen. Paul deserves our appreciation.

Really, what did he say?
Similar stuff to his dad, to wit he "support(s) Israel" but wants to end "welfare" to them.
I’m not singling out Israel. I support Israel. I want to be known as a friend of Israel, but not with money you don’t have . . . We can’t just borrow from our kids’ future and give it to countries, even if they are our friends. … I think they’re an important ally, but I also think that their per capita income is greater than probably three-fourths of the rest of the world . . . Should we be giving free money or welfare to a wealthy nation? I don’t think so.
Very insulting to Israel. You can't cut off friends while enemies remain so virulent, and especially now that Israel's getting surrounded by enemies thanks to the "Arab Spring Winter".

Rand Paul is much more articulate than his father. Even bad speakers are more focused than Ron Paul is; he is both bad and terribly unfocused. Rand Paul, on the other hand, is a decent and focused speaker. I think this would make him an effective leader for Senate Republicans. He would be much more effective than McConnell, and make Reid look like an utter moron, which, albeit, isn’t exactly a hard feat. Either that, or he could be whip along with DeMint as leader. That team would be excellent, in my not so humble opinion.

No to either one... duplicity is in the DNA.

Rand is a slicker version of Ron.

They both aim to dismantle our military.

Read the Libertarian Party platform to learn their aims.

Are you more loyal to Israel or the United States of America?

I totally support Israel’s right to exist. Furthermore, if I were an Israeli, I would support bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities. I also support having a friendly relationship with Israel. However, it is not our job to provide for Israel’s defense. That is their job. If they want the protection of the United States, then they can apply for membership in the Union.
