Washington Post columnist and Fox News Channel regular Charles Krauthammer said the situation is far simpler. He said instead it was a show of their “lack of intelligence” and “lack of originality.”
“Well, it certainly is a spitting and the sputtering of people who are, who’ve been deeply defeated,” Krauthammer said. “I mean, they were routed. They were up against a small minority of one half of one-third of the Congress and they got — they lost everything. They got routed. Look, this was their Agincourt, you know, Henry V outnumbered by the French, three to one. The opposition, the liberals, hold the Senate. They hold the White House. They hold the media, which had been leaking and parroting the White House line all the way through, and they still got defeated.
“I think this is sort of a pathetic response. If you have no arguments, what do you do? Ad hominems. You attack, you throw names out. But I have one slight disagreement with you [about this] being a conspiracy. I don’t think these people have the wherewithal to orchestrate a three-car motorcade. The reason for the repetition is lack of intelligence and lack of originality. These are people who are slothful.”
Despite Krauthammer’s low regard for the Tea Party’s left-wing detractors, O’Reilly insisted talking points were still circulating, which suggested a concerted effort. Krauthammer dismissed that notion.
“Look, what it means to me is you’ve got people with no intelligence, no originality, no imagination,” he said. “They are sputtering. They have lost. No arguments. What do they do? They want ad hominems. They want epithets. So, somebody uses it on the air — ‘Ah ha, that’s a good one. I’ll use it.’ I don’t credit them [with] the intelligence or the sort of, what it takes to put together a conspiracy.”

From what I remember, the Kraut has not been a fan of the Tea Party folks,
so your mistake is highly understandable.
I saw this interview, so I knew it was a good one, though I saw him on that round table show and thought his optimism for the bill because America now has the thought of “dollar for dollar” decrease of spending in relation to Debt Ceiling increase was a little too positive. Yes that’s good, but Kraut didn’t seem to see the overall horrendousness of the thing.

Denethor is the Steward of Gondor. In short, he thinks battle against Mordor and Sauron is a hopeless proposition, though he would have been willing to take up the Ring. In the end, he insanely decides to burn himself and his wounded son, Faramir, alive before Gondor has fallen. He typifies the concept of despair and surrender when pressed.

Tries to burn his unconscious son on a pyre and ultimately throws himself off the heights of the White City of Gondor.

I think he is slamming tea party detractors, not the tea party.
Has anyone ever seen one political party insult registered voters like the dims do to us tea partiers? I mean really do they only think we are right wing extremists and not full of those in the mushy middle?They should just keep talking then when the wave hits them in 2012 as America really gets to see behind their masks.

Except as many Tea Party folks opposed the bill as.supported it, right? OTOH, Nazi Pelosi voted for it....along with Harry Reid. And Hussein signed it. They cannot run from the bill.

I remember when the Dixie Chicks were a hot musical group. They had some cross-over appeal, but their fan base was basically C&W. Then the singer stood on stage and basically said, "We're ashamed of America. We're ashamed of George Bush. We're ashamed of the stupid rednecks who support George Bush. Oh! By the way! Our new record is coming out on Monday -- I hope you buy it!"
Oddly, enough, their fan base declined to do so.
Insulting large portions of the population is not a good way to get ahead in this world.

3) The Tea Party won nothing. Oh, I suppose we have the upper hand in debate but we always did. The country agrees on the majority with us with some reservations about cutting entitlements...but so what. When it really matters were the votes there? No, the new freshman sold us out. This is al going to crash and I will hav no ownership of it. The political class own this NOT the Tea Party and not conservatives.

The Tea party won the budget battle like the Texicans won the Alamo. While we didnt get the spending cuts we wanted, the loss will catalyze a rout of the leftists in 2012.
