Match.com: Conservatives More Open To Different Views
The Winston Review ^ | August 4, 2011 | -TWR-

According to a Financial Times piece “Inside Match.com,” dated July 29, the president and key engineer, Mandy Ginsberg and Amarnath Thombre, are information-love junkies.

Really: Indeed, says Thombre, “the politics one is quite interesting. Conservatives are far more open to reaching out to someone with a different point of view than a liberal is.” That is, when it comes to looking for love, conservatives are more open-minded than liberals.

Naturally, if you run the world’s biggest dating site, you’re bound to learn a few practical lessons. “With a mountain of data in its servers from the 75 million users it has had since it was founded, Match has been able to uncover a series of curious trends. Some findings are obvious.”

Contrary to made-for-Hollywood stereotypes, conservatives are also more generous givers, according to the most in-depth studies available, such as Who Cares.

Not so surprising. Anyone who has spent a little time on dating/friend sites has noticed how many liberals angrily declare on their profiles that they don’t want to be contacted by conservatives or Christians.

I’ve never seen the same from conservatives.

Not surprising at all. Conservatives practice diversity by being open minded and assessing things on their merits. Liberals flap their gums about diversity while shutting anything out that isn’t approved by the political correctness doctrine.

Liberals are not just wrong, they’re angry and stubborn about it. And that’s why they’re angry and stubborn . . they know they’re wrong.

I actually enjoy family time with my liberal relatives. I don’t want to talk about politics with them but I can have a good time with them.

In fact I’ve found that I can actually influence them a bit simply by being myself. I fly in the face of everything they think they know about conservatism which leads them to wondering if maybe they aren’t wrong about other things.

Anywhere you go liberals throw their views around and act like they think everyone is liberal. This doesn’t surprise me one bit.

I wish I could say the same about my relatives. The only one left that I have any contact with is my sister and her mind is so closed my mere existence irritates her. And we haven’t said one word to each other about politics for ten years when she vehemently said “I don’t want to talk about it anymore.” It’s a shame since many of her views aren’t even liberal views but she has bought into the line that conservatives are evil period.

I actually enjoyed liberal women in university.

They’re dumb as rocks and only good for a shag. I dated every lib from the hot envirowacko to the attractive anti-war “progressive”. It became a contest for me to eventually turn them, aside from the “bed fun”. Most times it worked, some not. 3 years ago, I learned that my ex-GF who majored in Social Studies (a hard-core Bush-hater back then), works for a Republican lobby firm on J street.

I’ve got a militant lesbian cousin who runs with her pack. They don’t want anyone talking privately to anyone else who might disagree. Its a matter of protecting the ideology from polluting conservative influence.

(face palm) And I’m sure she has no idea how closed off and suppressive that behavior is.

Despite what Liberals claim, Conservatives are more apt to seek the truth—regardless of labels. In contrast, Liberals view the world through their feelings—evidence be damned.

Yup. Look, if you see a hot coed, you don’t ask them if they’re GOP or Dem. Seriously with no pc involved...you want to just bang them and you just had to play your cards right.;) Obviously, I would prefer right-wing chicks, they’re the ones who volunteer to pay for half the dinner. Lib chicks keep me hanging with the bar tab.

Not so surprising. Most Lefties are secularist and have substituted politics for religion, the state for God, and people like Obama (or Clinton, or Kennedy) as their deities, even their Messiahs.

We Conservatives find politics important but it is not our be all, end all, we distrust the state, and understand that people like Obama are as flawed as the rest of us. Most of us, but not all, recognize that only God is God.

At my age the only thing I ask co-eds is "Is there a restroom in this store?" lol

Obviously, I would prefer right-wing chicks, they’re the ones who volunteer to pay for half the dinner. Lib chicks keep me hanging with the bar tab.

That's odd. You would think the lib-chicks would be the ones of insist on paying their share according to feminist doctrine. Once again; libs talk the talk but they don't walk it.

This isn't surprising to anyone with friends who are liberal and conservative. Liberals will ball up, retreat and sulk if they can't coerce conformity or submission. Conservatives will shrug, call you a crazy moonbat, and wish you a nice day.

Obviously, one of those reactions is emotionally sustainable over the long term and another is not. Eventually, most liberals are driven to self-imposed exile, to keep their thought-environment sterile.

Or they become conservative. ;-)

There is no greater hypocrite on two legs than a young liberal woman. They are able to juggle impossible contradictions in their heads without effort or ill-effect, and can re-channel flighty, shallow superiority into sanctimonious hellfire at the drop of a hat.

At least the older lib ladies have the decency to become visibly bitter and mentally twisted from the strain.
