Looks like they added lines around the eyes too so she looks older than she really is.
I think Newsweek cropped those eyes into the photo. Ever see the axe scene on the Shining? That’s where they got the eyes to crop into the pic.
I cancelled Newsweek years and years ago. Every time they send me a letter to subscribe, I send it back with a blank sheet, so they have to pay the postage for the business reply envelope.
If you want to characterize that look as "crazy", that's your problem.
Well since the bastion of safety, the US of A was just downgraded I’d think rage is appropriate and I’d agree that there’s a lot of evil in government - such as corrupt bastards stealing the earnings of hard working Americans etc etc. It’s the government that did this and rage is deserved.
I don't see a "halo" over her head as they did with all the Obama cover photos...

Newsweek is in large part to blame for the mess that has engulfed Washington.

Better than any photo of Nancy Pelosi I can recall. Nancy always looks like she’s at the end of her tether.
Meh. Seen worse. Not flattering to be sure, but *shrug). I mean, she IS 55 and still looks pretty darn good.
Their cover of Sarah Palin recently wasn’t very flattering, either.
I think they hate strong women.
They could have done an Obamugabe on her and deepened her skin tone so she looks more “negro”.

Part of the reason it’s so disconcerting is that they’ve enlarged her head; it’s clearly too big for her body.

Newsweek’s cover a week or two ago was much more shocking. I have no great love for Dominique Strauss Kahn, but they made him a monster:
Newsweek, on the next week’s cover you should put a pic of your dear leader Obama sneeking a drag from a Camel no-filtered (taken at the White House’s rose garden).
