We Are ACORN Mighty, Mighty ACORN: Rick Perry Edition
A TIme For Choosing ^ | 8/11/2012 | Gary Jackson

Posted on 08/12/2011 6:10:46 AM PDT by curth

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Notice the lovely woman in the Houston ACORN shirt standing with a smiling Rick Perry.

Someone might want to talk with Houston’s King Street Patriots and their fight against Mighty ACORN in Houston with their True the Vote program.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTaQW4hLGWI&feature=player_embedded

In other ACORN news: A Nevada Judge fines ACORN but wanted prison for ACORN’s leaders.

Read BREAKING: ‘Banana Republic’ ACORN Hit with Maximum Fine in Voter Fraud Scheme over at Big Government for the entire run down.

As you know President Barack Obama used to work for ACORN. His job was training the rent-a-thugs the finer points of communist Saul Alinsky’s manifesto Rules for Radicals

Over the last few days a lot of people have been hammering Rick Perry because he was once a democrat [at a time most Texas politicians were] and was Al Gore’s Texas campaign chairman in 1988. That’s kind of silly.

The great Ronald Reagan was also a democrat before, as he said, the party left him. He was also a big supporter of Franklin Roosevelt, the president who did more to support Marxism in America than any other before Obama.

This is a dumb thing to hit Perry on.

The relationships people need to question Perry about are his ties to groups like ACORN, as well as open borders, race-baiting groups like LULAC and La Raza [literally, The Race] that advocate illegal immigration and support the Reconquista of the Southwestern United States.

We’ll have more on Perry’s ties to these groups and his sorry record on illegal immigration to come.

Rick Perry upon signing Texas’ supported DREAM ACT, granting in state tuition to illegal aliens:

“Educacion es el futuro, y si se puede.”

Translation: “Education is the future” and throwing in Cesar Chavez’s slogan: [and Obama's] “Yes we can!” for good measure.

He said he was sorry about this. Isn’t that enough?

I am not a Rick Perry fan.

That said, that appears to be an old photo. Be fair. Most of us didn’t know just how corrupt and malignant Acorn was until a couple of years ago.

A governor has to meet with all stripes, mix with all the people of his state, no matter whether he agrees with them or not. Acorn got lots of money from the feds, over which Perry has no real control (even less than some governors, because the Texas gov isn’t very powerful).

He’s been in office for 12 years and has posed with a lot of strangers.

He’s very vulnerable on other things, but this photo isn’t one of them, IMO.

Regardless of this article I truly wish somebody was running for POTUS that I could get behind other than half heartedly only because we have to get Obama, and the RATS out of our leadership.

I don’t think any of those running today have the guts to yank the reins, and turn this pony on its heel getting it back on the trail.

At least nobody of the declared.

CORRECTION to the article:

"Notice the lovely womanthree women in the Houston ACORN shirts standing with a smiling Rick Perry."

How could Perry, or anyone else, miss 3 t-shirts (which in color are red) with the big acorn on them?

Perry is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. He will say/do anything to acquire power.

I agree. Politicians have photos taken with just about anyone who passes by. The problems with Perry have nothing to do with the photo.

I’m tired of voting with one hand holding my nose. Did that twice with Perry and don’t plan on making it three times. The only reason he got this last election was because the people came out to vote AGAINST Kay Bailey Hutchison. Surely, somewhere out there is a true conservative. I’d be happy with Cain or Palin but don’t see anyone else on the list who would refuse the koolaid.

Pray Sara will run. We need virtuous people that will not sell us out for cheap labor interests.

It’s that time in the election cycle where negative stories are planted by each campaign. After the GOP candidates finish carving each other up, the Democrats will have a video collection to use in Obama’s campaign.

If Sarah was sooo virtuous she would have already made her decision. She's a gamesman.

“He will say/do anything to acquire power.”

That seems more of an emotional statement than a factual one.

I am sorry. Life doesn't always give us easy choices. As adults we have to make decisions based on reality and not what we want. I wish I could chose between steak and lobster every night, but I cannot. I can assure you if conservatives stay home in 2012 0bama will be reelected.

This is classic big government socialism and Perry is all about that. He thinks he can dupe Americans with his “praying” but remember Hillary and Obama practiced the exact same strategy. Americans shouldn't be fooled by these dubious tactics...if Perry was truly a principled man he would not play games with the fate of this nation. No more RINOs no more big government presidents to lead this nation further down the path to socialist decadence.

I agree. The anti-Perry-ites are to the point of desperation and will say anything to demonize Gov. Perry. We have got to UNITE behind a STRONG candidate!

No. Waiting to announce is not “gamesmanship.” It may just be wisdom.

Don’t you get tired of the never-ending race? I hate it that we have to start the campaign 2 years out.

The only reason for wanna-bes to announce early is to gain name recognition, build an organization, find funding, and get ready for the real campaign.

Palin already has all this. It would be stupid for her to have announced already.

I have no dog in this hunt yet and was able to rule out a few after last night’s debate. But I’m still wide-open to unannounced candidates.
