I wonder what the Bible says about leaders who praise other Gods.
How can God be pleased when Rick praises the very people who are bent on destroying the children of Israel?
What do you say about his words about Islam posted here?
Do you have the courage to read it, and if you have read it, how can one man believe in Jesus Christ as savior, and praise a religion that promotes it’s spread through the sword?
Or do you believe Islam is a “religion of peace” too?
I know that the program teaches history teachers using donated, not State funds. http://www.saisd.net/admin/curric/sstudies/mhcp/mhcproject.html
And yet, the Governor has no qualms about standing up and declaring that he believes in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
The Apostle Paul in Acts preached the “unknown god.” In Romans, he writes of the law written on men’s hearts. In 1 Corinthian 9, he says he is all things to all people in order to save a few.
1Co 9:21 To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law.
1Co 9:22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some.
I dared read the speech and will dare to copy the portions of the Quran that the Governor quoted, while reminding those who read that Paul told us that the law of the Lord is written on men's hearts.
"The Quran says: Truly those who believe, and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabeans whoever believes in God and the Last Day and is virtuous surely their reward is with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them, neither shall they grieve.
The Governor echoes the Apostle Paul in his final point:
"That brings me to my final observation. Whatever faith tradition underlies our own strongly-held beliefs, we would be wise to follow the example of His Highness in identifying the values that are common to people of all faiths. This understanding provides a firm foundation for advancing society. Loving our neighbors, providing for the poor, valuing human life as Gods unique creation: these common threads are woven through the fabric of many faiths, and they can inspire our collective conduct."
According to scripture not so much and get away with it.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8-9
2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Looks to me like anyone who takes Perrys view of Islam has a serious problem.
