It’s not the weapons that makes you so “deadly.” It’s the will to use them....
That is the crux of the matter. I am convinced that in today's modern, urban society, a great many people have a very strong reluctance to kill things, even when necessary.
I grew up on a farm at the edge of wilderness. I have killed a lot of things. I would not say that I enjoy killing, but I am efficient at it.
I think that one of the best things that you can do to improve your ability to defend yourself, is to take up hunting. I do not hunt in order to kill, but killing is an essential part of hunting.
