With B.O.'s approval now under 40%, "I'm Goin' Down" is the 8/15 Song of the Day
Philadelphia Jewish Culture Examiner ^ | 8/16/11 | Adam Taxin

Hahahaha.

Despite the fact that Osama Bin Laden is still apparently dead, the approval rating for Barack Obama just sunk for the first time under 40%. According to Gallup, the approval rating for the occupier of the White House was at 39%, while the disapproval rating was at 54%. (Racism, obviously!)

There are so many possibilities for songs that could accompany this development. However, Philadelphia Jewish Culture Examiner goes back a quarter-century to the still-possibly-ironically-given-this-particular-case-titled Born in the U.S.A. album by the ponderous, humorless Bruce Springsteen, who has not released a song that will linger in any sort of canon since President Reagan was in office.

"Not for you to interpret this at all as me backing off "

You can back off, move to the side or stand where you are. It matters not a whit to me.

"...but I wasn’t really soliciting you for those. It was the other two."

Seemed to be your modus operandi, so they were provided preemptively. If you've really been on FR as long as you claimed (something about since Clinton was president?) then it's realoly hard to believe you haven't seen pictures of 'Gunner. If you knew enough to click on Larry's profile, you'd see a few of him there too.

"Now let’s see a sample of your own, apparently-superiorly-worth-reading written work from some point in the last few months."

I do not normally engage in self-promotion, nor do I claim that my writing is inherently superior. It is others who have stated that opinion. But since you asked (almost) nicely.....

“Larry” and schmuck with the humble-sized gun ... post pictures of yourselves so we can see what you look like in real life hahahaha! Trying to assess the psychology here.

Wow...post pictures of themselves? How superficial.

Didn't you used to go by "Greg Louganis" or something on here?

Now let’s see a sample of your own, apparently-superiorly-worth-reading written work from some point in the last few months.

I've seen pushy examibloggers before, Greg, but never one so new. You're like "The Bull" in a china shop.

But you didn’t take the time to actually look before acting like you were in a position to judge.

If the crap is on the Examiner blog that fact alone is sufficient unto judgement.

It's crap.

Re. “I’ve seen pushy examibloggers before, Greg, but never one so new. You’re like ‘The Bull’ in a china shop.”:

Well, be glad — current “new” guy initiation sticking-up-for-oneself aside — that I’m on your and the conservatives’ side. If I am “pushy” here, imagine what I’m like with so-called “liberals.”

As for “Greg”/”The Bull”, this article in particular made it pretty much impossible for me to do anything more under my old screen name: http://www.examiner.com/jewish-culture-in-philadelphia/pirates-swept-but-former-phillies-slugger-luzinski-impressed-by-bucs-progress (yes, I know the last few weeks have quickly made that article quite dated. ... On to a 19th consecutive losing season!)

Oh, and, for the record, while you are right that I’m relatively “pushy,” Luzinski himself is relatively easygoing in real life (and actually seems slightly trimmer than in his playing days, although it probably helps that he no longer has to wear those horrendous 1983 White Sox uniforms).

“Greg Louganis” ... good one actually. I’ve never heard anyone use that, but I’m guessing if Luzinski had played, e.g., for the Mets or Pirates, the Philly fans would have come up with that. (OK, OK, their career peaks really weren’t at the same time.)

With you on the “Two Steps Back” aspect, but where’s the “One Step Up” with b.o.?

One could also make a case for, in terms of unions, “typical dependend democRAT constituencies,” etc., “Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town.”

Appropriate for the caning of ExamiBloggerPimps, I wonder?

That’s a really strange, somewhat ambiguous reply, Larry.

You *might* want to rephrase it.
