State Of Rhode Island Foreclosure Moratorium?

FOLLOW THE LAW

That would be a sure-fire cure for our Economically Transmitted Disease [ETD].

MERS and their Banker pals are adroit enough to gobble up free homes, along with all the various "credit enancements" that go with it...but they aren't quite adroit enough to do it without breaking the law. Too bad for them.

State Of Rhode Island Foreclosure LendingMoratorium?

One leads to the other. If banks can't foreclose, they cannot lend.

Period.

Yup. Much to the chagrin of the Pig-Men. Following laws are so cumbersome...lol.

That should be a plank for some here. "No law too big to follow".

Uncle Billy lost the day's reciepts again.

More than a little irony in this. The Rhode Island credit union crisis of 1991 foreshadowed the economic collapse of 2007, rather starkly. RI credit unions became over extended in a local real estate bubble, combined with some shady dealings and lo and behold, when the first domino feel, there wasn't money enough in the RI credit union insurance fund to cover the losses.

The SCOTUS has already ruled that the judges can’t declare a moratorium. In fact, one judge was found for civil damages under Section 1983 as they were acting in a *legislative* capacity under color of law. About 30 years ago.

It’s not actually a moratorium ,, however the courts are requiring arbitration AND far more importantly they explicitly state in the order that they WILL entertain standing issues ... NONE of the banksters can show standing.

Exactly. And this particular attorney is very aware of the standing issue and is not known for being "tricked"...lol.

Judge puts RI foreclosure cases on hold
