Excuse me for being more concerned about finding a home for a dog than making a minor punctuation error.
Now with that said....piss-off and leave me alone!
I went to the link and was glad to see he had been adopted. I was going to see if he was going to be suitable for our home (altho after reading I guess he wasn’t going to be since they said he needed a home with no other dogs). Glad to see this has a happy ending.
Oh thank God! I am just reading this about his special needs, but already have a GS in the house.
Thanks for the update! I’m so glad to hear that someone has adopted Rocky.
Good news indeed!!
We have been informed that Rocky will be adopted. Please DO NOT CALL Camp Pendleton, Lackland AFB or Pets for Patriots regarding his case; we are all overloaded with a deluge of inquiries about his plight. THANK YOU to all who have answered Rockys call and helped to assure his final years will be spent with a loving family.
I had thought when I read the first part of the initial post, I will see if there's something I can do. I grew up with a GSD, and it's just unthinkable that this dog who served our country would just be put to sleep. I have dealt with an older dog with dysplasia and also another dog who was not mobile for the last several months of her life, and I worked for a vet long ago. But, upon reading I discovered he was also somewhat dog aggressive, so he may have been a problem with my golden. However, fortunately he has found a home.
Now I don't have to guilt my husband. :)

I hear you. I have two elderly dogs who are growing increasingly frail and on medication, so adoption is out of the question for me. Thank goodness for kind people!
I miss my old dogs, but some of the best memories I have are of their sunset years. Mostly because I knew their time was short and so I intentionally made memories with them. Well, I have to stop talking about them or I will get morose.
Now I'm tearing up.
