I agree that it is possible that Palin and Perry may have made a deal to not discuss the “quitting” issue but Palin has not made any agreement to be Perry’s VP.

She has already gone on the record she has already done that and will not do that again.

And after Sept 3, and Palin speaks to 10,000-20,000 people in Iowa, the narrative may become Perry is auditioning for Palin’s VP.

yeah, in the same way that someone provided a whole raft of quotes from Perry (was it you in this very thread?) to the effect that he wouldn’t run for President........
unusual times and pressing new priorities, largely created by a highly disappointing Republican Establishment accommodation to Obama with the debt-ceiling issue) have a way of throwing all those early statements overboard.
