Even the ultra liberal New York Times has admitted the special election to replace disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner (D-New York) has become "a referendum on the president and his party that is highlighting the surprisingly raw emotions of the electorate." And Democratic National Committee member Robert Zimmerman says the issue defining the contest in New York's District 9 "is the confidence that the electorate has in this district about the national Democratic agenda." That's very good news for Candidate Bob Turner; the Republican in the race.

OMG! Wow so it is quite possible that a republican may just win that seat, simply amazing!
Ed Koch is well respected by Dems in NY! His endorsement is a HUGE positive for Mr. Turner!

“9:19 AM PT: NY-09: Oy vey. Is David Weprin just determined to lose this thing? See here and here re two separate stumbles in the last day alone. If these were isolated instances in a normal campaign, I might be tempted to write them off. But the Weprin campaign hasn’t inspired a lot of confidence so far, and with the election just two weeks away and turnout likely to be low, these kind of local blunders can take on outsize importance.”
