Phoenix-based Nuestros Reconquistos claims that there will be a war very similar to the Civil War fought in the next five years. “La Raza and MEChA have already talked to Latinos and Phoenix and explained that Latinos need to arm themselves for war,” says Nuestros Reconquistos President Manuel Longoria.
Cecilia Maldonado of Chicanos Unidos Arizona isn’t hoping for any sort of war, but believes it may be unavoidable. “For generations, our people have prepared us to take back the lands of the Southwest that were stolen from our Mexican ancestors. Because of the bad economy and many racist laws, Latinos will be forced to fight sooner than later,” says Mrs. Maldonado.

I read somewhere that in a poll, 40% of Mexicans said they would like to come to the USA. Why would they want to conquer this country and turn it into Mexico? Also, although in the southwest a lot of the people are of Mexican heritage, in the rest of the country there are many Guatemalans, Puerto Ricans, Salvadorans, and even Ecuadorians who would probably think this is idiotic.

There are about 18,000,000 deer hunters now in the USA. Each has precision long-range arms, cammo, comms, gear, transport, etc. and participate in annual live-fire live-target training.
Thats right. The big question is which side will the US federal gov take?
With an orders-of-magnitude domestic superiority, I’m not worried about our hunters’ capability under such circumstances.
There wouldn’t be enough targets.
The only thing that gives me any comfort living in SW Washington, is that we have Oregon and the Columbia River between us and California...

Yes, deer don’t shoot back. But remember our countries revolution against the Brits. Everyone in our military were just regular people, not trained military and they beat the best military in the world. Don’t under estimate the will of the American people when it comes to protecting our country.
I am married to a man with an Hispanic surname. His ancestors have lived in the New Mexico region for centuries and never lived in the nation of Mexico.
He and my children with the same Hispanic surname have never spoken Spanish and have nothing in common with these Reconquistos.
My DIL also with Hispanic surname was born in Guatemala. She is an officer in the US Army. She has nothing in common with these Reconquistos.
My other DIL, whose mother was born in Mexico and became a legal immigrant has never spoken Spanish and has nothing in common with these Reconquistos.
They might want to be careful of what they wish for. I'd imagine that the non-Hispanic population of Phoenix and the rest of Arizona have them out-gunned by a considerable margin. And don't even think of trying to out-shoot the opposition in Texas.
I’ve had that discussion with many of my students. They don’t seem to grasp that the spanish they proudly speak is the language imposed on them by their European conquerers.
Where's the protection of the country as the invasion goes on now?
Sure a few on the border but where is the outrage?
Where is the storming of Congress?
Where are the ones taking vengeance on the killers of honest hard working ranchers that are murdered on their own land?

It is a lot like Israel, you do all you can for peace because fighting sucks, but when you are backed into the corner and you know they are coming in the morning for you, you rise up at night and wipe them out. Then its back to peace in the morning...
