And what business has Slick Rick Perry ever run? He has spent most of his adult life running for or holding government office. The only difference between being on the dole and being a career politician like Perry is that the politician has to go out and tell lies every few years, and sell influence in exchange for campaign contributions, just the way Slick Rick the crony capitalist has done. And where do I have the facts wrong? You Perrybots need to look at his record. He is a shape-changer who will do whatever it takes to pad his vote margin or get more campaign $. He is the absolute antithesis of what we need to save this country. Don’t be a naive fool. Learn what a sociopath is.
You, sir/madam, are an uneducated idiot. Sorry, there is no other way to describe you. First off, Perry was first elected to office in 1984. He was 34 years old at the time. Prior to that, he was a farmer and rancher.
Second, Perry was an elected Democrat office holder from 1984 to 1989 - five years. He has been in politics for 27 years. His time as a Reagan Democrat is a mere footnote to his political career.
Red South and others have documented how Perry was anything but a conservative throughout his poliitical career.
The Founding Fathers were opposed to the country's being run by career politicians. All of them had other ways of making a living. Perry has never had any real career or ambition outside of politics. Posing as a conservative gets him elected in Texas.
John Tower was the exception that proves the rule. Yes he won as a Republican, and there were a few others over the years, but very few. Texas was basically a one-party state for a long, long time.
Red South and others have documented how Perry was anything but a conservative throughout his poliitical career.
