Obama Miffed over Date Rebuff
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 2 Sep 2011 | John Semmens

Posted on 09/02/2011 6:16:13 PM PDT by John Semmens

House Speaker John Boehner’s rejection of President Obama’s request to speak to Congress on September 7 became the focus of the president’s latest plea for campaign donations. Just a few hours after Boehner declined the date and suggested a September 8 alternative, the President’s campaign sent an e-mail to supporters.

“I am the leader of the free world,” Obama contended. “Being rebuffed by Congress does untold damage to my image. This can only harm my ability to effect the transformation for which I was elected to accomplish in 2008. Harming the President like this—some might call it treason.”

The president also hinted that Boehner’s action might be unconstitutional. “Not only was the Republicans’ refusal rude and insensitive—it showed that Boehner doesn’t really care about hurting my feelings—it was also a cruel and unusual punishment. No other President has ever been treated this way. Now, as a Constitutional scholar, I know that ‘cruel and unusual punishment’ is against it.”

The e-mail recipients were asked to give generously in order “to prevent the enemies of democracy from thwarting our drive toward the social justice we pledged to wreak upon America.”

In related news, Vice-President Joe Biden rejected contentions that a long string of policy failures may indicate that President Obama lacks the smarts to handle the job. “There’s no question in my mind that Barack is the brightest guy we’ve ever had as a president,” Biden said. As proof, Biden cited “all the times he’s beaten me at ‘tic-tac-toe.’ It doesn’t matter whether he has the ‘Xs’ or ‘Os.’ He beats me every time. That’s the kind of dominating brilliance this country needs from its leadership.”

I can just hear BHO's speech now (start FDR voice):

"Yesterday, September 7, 2011, a date which will live in infamy,
the President of the United States was stupidly and bitterly attacked
by evil and unfair forces of the Empire of Teabag. . . ."

This is exactly why he asked for Sept. 9th, so he can act pathetic. He is so transparent but the lefttards will buy it.

When the "transformation" that you speak of was mentioned, you pathetic fraud, it was never defined. The transformation to third world status is not what even your supporters understood.

Being in chains is also a change, which you shall not accomplish, now that we know what you meant.

We elected a leader for the Executive branch of our government, not a monarch.

Actually you are getting a lot more respect than what you deserve.

I can't wait until your smug arrogance is simply a bad memory.

I can quote Mister Obama as saying this, right?

What is being missed is that The Big ZerO was demanding the House to return to a regular session a day before it was scheduled to.

Now when they turn his agenda down the socialists are going to make a big deal about The Big ZerO graciously allowing the opposition have its debate thus supporting “bi-partisanship”.The state media of course ignoring what ammounts to an insult to Congress when issuing that demand.

It was the height of arrogance ordering House members shut down their townhalls and other legislative and personal duties to return to Washignton a day before they were scheduled to . Simply to listen to Mr Zero read off of his teleprompter. But because the big O knows whatever he and his band of commi-tsars come up with is print more money and won’t be supported he will claim he made a “bi-partisan effort” and the state media will aalute him for it

If a Republican tried this the state media would be screaming foul for weeks on end.

Harming the President like this—some might call it treason.”

"Disrespect" is an African tribal thing; it's also big in sandmaggot countries.

I've never heard any normal person suggest that it could be considered treason anywhere else in the civilized world.

So no matter how hard I try I can't imagine who "some" might be.

The thing is, if you don't want to be disrespected as a third-world despot, you shouldn't act like one.
