Typical over-the-top leftist hyperbole. If anything's a 'sign of the apocalypse', it's the sad fact that such a lickspittle as Tom Friedman gets so much ink in the 'mainstream press'.

Then again, maybe he is correct in one way -- Sarah Palin in the White House would be the death-knell for the Marxist's current hold on power, and signal the demise of many of their failed socialist polices here in "the land of the free".

If that's 'apocalypse', then it can't come too soon.

On this holiday weekend, it was New York Times columnist Tom Friedman who said of all the interest in the former Alaska governor, "That’s a sign of the apocalypse

I didn't think liberals believed in the Bible

RE: apocalypse

Obama campaign 2012: FDR's "fear" statement (slightly modified to) "We have nothing to use but fear itself."

Unfortunately a Democrat misused it against Bush years ago vis-a-vis 9/11.

.. and the "fear" statement was recently ripped off by some on Democraticunderground to attack Palin, et al. (capital "D". Have you seen what they type in over there? True democrats are educated and can express themselves without the f-word being every other word.)

As Obama discovers that "hope and change," "we are the ones we're looking for (or whatever)" just ain't going to be enough this time he's turning to scaring people.

To wit, stuff like Those Republican religious nuts want a Christian Republic modeled after the Islamic Republic of Iran. Run away! Run away!" shout the Rat Party (formerly the traditional Democratic Party). The Nytimese follow the example.

So no matter that it was used against Republicans it is supremely more appropriately to describe the Obama campaign 2012.

Obama 2012 campaign theme:

We have nothing to use but fear itself.

I thought the U.S. electing a muzzie only 7 years after 9/11 was a sign of the Apocolypse.

Friedman is a statist. Statists hate non-statists aka conservatives. Simple as that.
