I think I’ll watch a rerun of the Rams-Jaguars preseason football game, instead.

Change “tax increase” to “revenue increase” and we have a winner.

I thought the current phrase was "revenue enhancement."

Three minutes, thirty seconds ... and that’s my final answer.

Oops, sorry, my eyes passed right over it. The older I get, the more that happens.

That's good.

We should all make random arrangements of those and see who gets there first.

That's an easier game than picking any one or two of those and drinking a shot when it scrolls across the Teleprompter.

Actually, you could probably get the phrase for this by running an analysis of all his past speeches and comments on the economy. I doubt he'll say anything tomorrow that he hasn't already said. His teleprompter is stuck on stupid.

Better to have a pool on how many G's he will drop during the speech; or to not watch at all.

Excellent game. Have fun. As for me, life is way too short to waste watching a lying b*stard (his boy Hoffa said to call them what they are) blow a lot of hot air. If he were really concerned with job creation, we wouldn't have had to wait for him to finish his luxury vacation to find out what he came up with in his pea sized brain.

FUBO GTFO ! 500 Days until Noon Jan 20, 2013 - Hell Yes, change is coming!

“Good evening. We are in dark times. The fatcats of Wall Street along with Republican obstructions has compromised the future of Main Street. While I’ve made putting Americans to work my top priority, the wealthiest Americans … the Republicans …. refuse to be bi-partisan and instead seek to aide the corporate jet owners and millionaires and billionaires. Make no mistake, they need to be paying their fair share. As I have said before …. Change isn’t easy. So tonight, I want to call upon them to meet in the middle and put through the necessary tax hikes so that the economy can move forward. Let me be clear … praising the free market then bashing or constraining it is no way to run a country. We need another stimulus to get Americans back to work. This stimulus proposal is for schools and infrastructure … shovel ready jobs that can lower the unemployment rate that I inherited from the failures of the previous administration.”

Yep ... that’s definitely less than 3 1/2 minutes. Especially if TOTUS ramps up the speed a tad.

With that in mind, I thought I’d contribute 25 phrases for an Obama jobs speech BS bingo card of my own. Based on these, I’m sure I’ll be jumping up and shouting “BULLSHIT!!!” in about the first five minutes of what promises to be one hour of sound and fury signifying nothing.

Here they are:

Some in Congress
Some Republicans
Some who say
Needed infrastructure repairs
Decaying bridges
Decaying schools
Decaying roads
Stimulus
Investments
Corporate jets
Inherited this
The cliff
Created or saved
Green energy
Green economy
Green jobs
Avoided a depression
Bankers
Republicans…against the American people
When I
Because I
I acted to
I ordered
Thanks to my
Change isn’t easy
It won’t happen overnight

I did include it but I parsed it as spending on infrastructure or education. You are right though - that is DEFINITELY his favorite word!

Without even looking at your board, I'm gonna say:

"our crumbling infrastructure"

"jobs"

"green jobs"

"get America back to work"

"invest in our future"

"put partisanship aside"

"I'm asking you to join me"

"I believe we can build a better America"

"9/11"

"tough times"

"but we are tougher"

(One word you will NOT hear: "stimulus." Not good politically.)

I forgot: “Let me be clear,” “Make no mistake,” and “As I have said before.” Good choices.

Well, it IS a jobs speech so I’d assume Jobs would be there. However, Green Jobs is classic Obama and I should have remembered that. I did include bi-partisanship as opposed to putting partisanship aside - that was a conscious choice. I can’t believe I forgot the classic “Put country before party” too.

Anyone want to take bets that he’ll give some kind of individual anecdote about how a policy of his helped someone which will eventually be shown as false?

“The (occupation) in (city), the (occupation) in (city), and the (adjective) (occupation) (phrase) in (city). . . .” For example: “We need to . . . blah blah blah . . . for the bricklayer in Boston, the auto worker in Detroit, and the struggling single mother going to night school and raising her kids in Chicago. . . .”
