I noticed that Drudge's headline is a little out of date now. When I first read the article, parental guidance was allowed.
A little while later the story was edited to remove the parental guidance portion. Since I started posting this, there is another version and an additional author...MARY CLARE JALONICK.

I guess this must happen a lot...just goes to show that Drudge knows how to write a headline!!

You did fine, but I would tell people comparing the two images to focus on the third paragraph in the original picture. The third paragraph is missing in the revised copy. Without this specific instruction, people visiting this thread may not be sure what to look for.

That is it...in the first article the article said that parents could choose to order fries for their kids. That is gone now and kids can't have fries...

Not good at posting pics, sorry about that!

Makes me wonder why he’s not covered the Fast And Furious debacle.

Read the fine print, i.e., compare copy with copy.

This fries story is becoming a national metaphor...on many levels.

A mystery to us all. Several days ago he had 2 links to F & F. They were removed after 5-7 hours. First and last time I have seen him show any curiosity about the crime.

I just couldn’t sit idle after reading this story about Darden Restaurants/french fries in children’s meals. I had to email the folks at Darden, Red Lobster and Olive Garden to let them know I don’t appreciate them trying to usurp my role as a parent. I won’t be going to their restaurants any longer. Even if my kids don’t want fries with their meal, I still want to be in a business where they respect my freedom to get my kids fries.

Good for you!

My children are all grown and flown, but if they were still young, I would just order the fries for myself, and “share” with the little ones after the server left.

Do you suppose the servers will just suggest something like this to the parents, with a wink?

I don’t have an answer to that.

There are also subjects that Rush refuses to discuss that seem important to me.

We are not players, they are. But, I like both of them.

I am asking myself, when the “treason” is clearly exposed will either discuss it?

It will be exposed. Eventually.

Related thread (on one incarnation of the story).

One comment: However, if a child wants an abortion or condoms from the school nurse, no adult permission is needed or desired.

Is there any website that is keeping a running count of the freedoms we are losing under this Commie?

Oh, like me??

As an aside, I had no idea Olive Garden even served French Fries.

Why is a faux Italian restaurant serving french (remember “freedom”)fries anyway?

And if Michelle looked more like Hale Berry, I will be impressed.
