Romney: Obama’s Call for Tax Hike Shows He Has ‘No Clue’ about Economy
National Review Corner ^ | 9/19/2011 | Katrina Trinko

“President Obama’s plan to raise taxes will have a crushing impact on economic growth,” Mitt Romney said in a statement. “Higher taxes mean fewer jobs – it’s that simple. This is yet another indication that President Obama has no clue how to bring our economy back. I encourage President Obama to look at my detailed economic plan to create long-term growth and prosperity for our nation. The only way to get our economy moving again is to elect a president who understands how to create jobs and rein in spending – that is why I am running.”

I’ll update this post as other candidates send in their statements about President Obama’s proposed $1.5 trillion in tax hikes.

As a result of proposing 1,500,000,000,000 in new taxes on “the rich”, they will take their money elsewhere.

In response, Obama orders something akin to Directive 10-289 forbidding them from leaving...

Romney’s right: Obama has no clue.

Perhaps we should make that a tagline: The No-Clue President.

It’s a shame to have a POTUS that couldn’t balance a simple checkbook each month. Nor does he want to learn. All he will say is I have a plan...my plan blah blah blah.

**********************

Of course he doesn’t, he’s a community organizer and that’s all he sees—he doesn’t have the ability to pull back and see the big picture.

Obama is a one trick pony, OK, maybe two. He only sees keeping benefits in place or getting more for his selected groups—minorities, poor yada.

The other thing he worries about is himself and his pocketbook.

I resent seeing anything positive posted about Romney.

The only thing he should do or say is to leave the prez-race.

I agree. I’d rather see Perry win, but anybody at this point would be better than Obama. Even Romney.

It’s a bigger shame than that, IMO. I will give Obama enough credit to say he can add and subtract well enough to know how to balance a checkbook.

Therefore the reason the nation’s checkbook is so far out of balance is by choice. He’s doing it on purpose.
