Yep, that's another one. When email became more popular years ago, I started getting mail from old high school friends. I was appalled at the spelling and grammatical errors from classmates. I had no idea it was this bad.
Yeah, question marks seem to be pretty simple. Do schools even teach grammar and punctuation these days?
Ah, the I/me confusion.
When Obama was elected he said, “President Bush has invited Michelle and I to the White House.” The president invited I...????
Right then and there I knew it was going to be a long year. That gaffe was followed by the misspelling of Syracuse, the medical corpse goof, and the incorrect date in the guest book.
Obama can’t even hold a wine glass correctly or even make an appropriate toast.
That one drives me up a wall, too. And you see it so often.
Another pet peeve is people using apostrophes for plurals.
They’re there for their thesaurus. ;)
Perhaps, but I’ve noticed that teachers are pretty bad at language. Our high school kids say that the teachers don’t check assignments. They ‘discuss’ them in class. And it is one of the better school districts.
That’s why I don’t understand how people can say that Obama is so smart. He really isn’t.
Just funnin’ ya.
I know. I was just making a point.
I caught that, albeit a bit too late.
On any city's MLK Boulevard....
I try to stay out of the areas that have an MLK BLVD or Ceasar Chavez Street.
“I tend to insert commas as a way of indicating a pause in the vocalization of a sentence. If I feel a pause when speaking, ya getz a comma when writing!”
I, suppose, I, must, speak, like, William, Shatner, then.
“I, suppose, I, must, speak, like, William, Shatner, then.”
Or,,,,, Ogolfball!
