Economic Apocalypse Goes Mainstream: Meltdown In Two To Three Weeks
SHTF Plan ^ | 10/7/11 | Mac Slavo

Posted on 10/07/2011 4:41:28 AM PDT by Kartographer

Predictions of an economic apocalypse are no longer restricted to the realm of fringe doom and gloomers lurking in the dark corners of the internet. As we’ve previously suggested uncertainty now pervades the social consciousness, not just in America, but the world over. Every major media outlet in developed nations is now reporting on the headwinds facing the so-called recovery. The problems and threats confronting the stability of the globe can no longer be dismissed as theoretical arguments, because they are now being actualized – in real time.

Between the clowns running the economy and the thugs in the street times are coming which we’ve only seen in Apocalyptic movies!

What kind of a times you ask, well I think that we are in for something like the collapse of Argentina ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yerKMQc7-w&feature=grec_index )but with an Arab Winter.

As recent events show (Flash Mobs, UK riots, etc)this things can turn violent FAST! And the US Has a larger entitlement minded population and a much more violent and armed population than Argentina and most arab countries.

I see many many small business wiped out by flash mob looting, and see rape, robbery and murder for murder sake. Many of these ‘yutes’ will think no more about killing you than most people think about stepping on a roach. That will be the test of many. Most preppers I know are Christian people and they will hesitate to do what they might have to do to stop the ‘yutes’. On the other hand the ‘yutes’ won’t think twice nor lose a minute of sleep, in fact they will smile and laugh about it.

Think of this quote which is one of my favorites:

“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Siege of AR-558 (#7.8)” (1998)
Quark: Let me tell you something about Hew-mons, Nephew. They’re a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full and their holosuites are working. But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those same friendly, intelligent, wonderful people... will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon. You don’t believe me? Look at those faces. Look in their eyes.

Now go look at some of the videos of the riots in the UK and of some of the flash mobs here in the US and look into there eyes.

This will be drive by ‘Bama’ he knows he is going down and he is bond and deterimed to take us with him. If you think you are hearing the sound of a dirge coming from the White House I suggest that you listen again, because what you are hearing is no funeral music what you are hearing is the Degüello (Slit throat )

For those who are just starting or are old hands at prepping you may find my Preparedness Manual helpfull. You can download it at:

http://www.tomeaker.com/kart/preparedness1i.pdf

For those of you who haven’t started already it’s time to prepare almost past time maybe. You needed to be stocking up on food guns, ammo, basic household supplies like soap, papergoods, cleaning supplies, good sturdy clothes including extra socks, underwear and extra shoes and boots, a extra couple changes of oil and filters for your car, tools, things you buy everyday start buying two and put one up.

As the LDS say “When the emergency is upon us the time for preparedness has past.”

Or as the bible says: A prudent man sees danger and takes refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
NIV Proverbs 22:3

Thanks for the ping Kartographer.

MOST folks I know are preparing for something like this. What, when, and how are still unknowns, but everyone thinks it's going to get bad very soon.

Folks, remember it's going to take more than just a few supplies to get through this.

Stay safe.

The deliberate and forced American decline is to coinside with the eventual Eurpoean rot to allow for a new world order controlled by the UN and with a new band of criminal leaders, thank you

Kart, as you and I and others here have been ahead of the curve , it’s probably a good time to look to go against the herd and try to find bargain investments as the rumors set in, and be prepared to sell on the news around Nov 11th when the EU heads of state convene and make a decision on Greek debt.

Stochastics show extreme volatility last two weeks and probably going forward right through the Greek/Cypriot defaults, with some of the often preferred assets being way over bought as the herd moves in to “safety” after that boat has already left the harbor. On the other side, lots of cash flow positives corporations will be oversold, especially their bond offerings.

When it happenned in 2008 we had room to drop. Now everyone knows Obama made it worse and as Gordon Gekko said the next one is the one.

Well for starters we need to suspend elections and concentrate on preventing a real disaster!

Got that backwards.

They are concentrating on creating a crisis to not let go to waste.

Crisis first then suspend elections.

Have to get the crisis settled and can’t afford to change leadership in such a critical situation.

These are the same people who had no problem getting federal agents murdered in Mexico to push their gun grabbing agenda.

It’s like a bank run only you can do it without leaving your La-Z-Boy! Buy a generator, some extra firearms — hey, if the world doesn’t end in 30 days, return those brown-eyed puppies and avoid the interest charges.
And if you’re richly radical or radically rich, buy land. Head for the hills!
Yeeeehawwww! Bang bang bang!

I couldn't agree more. For those who aren't familiar with the Argentine collapse, read this:

Argentine Collapse -1999

Also, this guy lived through it and has some good info on his site:

First we need to have the elections so we can vote the pinko commies out. Then we will address and hopefully fix the problems. Its going to be a rough ride. I hope everyone has their one year of food stored up. And the means to defend it.

Real preppers don’t use La-Z-Boys. And seldom use credit cards, for that matter.

the historically traditional outcome in such cases of collapsing nations – war.

Yep, I've been saying that. The signs are there.

Just the opposite. Hussein's big October 2012 surprise will be locking down the country in martial law and declaring himself or Soros All High and Lofty Grand Pooba. But his timetable may be moved up to next spring.

Actually, land in the most desirable places (from a prepping point of view) is cheap.

Actually, the title is cheap. The owning can run into money. Especially if you’re not there keeping an eye on it.

Mind giving me more details? I'm checking property taxes in the states we're interested in, but are there recurring fees other than that?

I was referring to vacant land purchased by preppers who often don’t go out and build on it, and reside on it. The only advice I can offer is, if you buy land in the country, be there!

One is that if you have HO insurance, they sometimes want to include you vacant land parcel as a rider - cheap enough. They usually only do that if you have a structure or a camper on it. Liability issues you see.

We’ve had a poacher on my camp last year. Very ballsy little sucker. Used the tree stand, left the deer guts right on the deer trail. We were not amused.
