And thanks to the way the Government has grown, you cannot really do anything economically without their approval. Sell product? Import/export? Nope - Government gets to dictate what you can do.

Oh, and it’s on its way to setting/fixing prices as well...

The banks will end up State-owned, and with the Federal Government already in charge of any economic activity a man can do - well, they have all the gold and WILL call the tune you dance to.

They were all lost in a boating accident over the Marianas Trench.

A terrible loss, I tell you. I've even lost the records that recorded the accident. (Old age I guess)
