Theres no celebrity chef tasked with whipping up Thursday nights state dinner honoring President of South Korea Lee Myung-bak, but the menu is still mouth-watering. For the dinner held in the East Room, Executive Chef Cris Comerford and Pastry Chef William Yosses will serve the following, according to the White House via POLITICO 44:
First Course Butternut Squash Bisque, Honey Poached Cranberries, Virginia Cured Ham, Pumpkin Seed Praline, Crème Fraiche
Second Course Early Fall Harvest Salad on Daikon Sheets, Masago Rice Pearl Crispies, Rice Wine Vinaigrette
Main Course Texas Wagyu Beef, Orange-Ginger Fondue, Sauteed Kale, Roasted Kabocha Squash
Dessert Chocolate Malt Devils Food Layers With Pear and Almond Brittle
An American wine will be paired with each course

Well, he's the muslim . . . Mooch-elle probably isn't . . . so she can eat the whole ham and not be impure.
..will the little boy king be eating with the guest or will he be wisked off to dine alone with his Halal meal?
I want my Wagyu Beef you damn Wall Street fatcat!
Is a White House/National Palace really representative of a Republic of, for and by the people?
No, bulldoze it!
Something more fitting is in order!
What a crappy menu!
There's a problem. He's not a Wall Street fatcat.
He's the White House fatcat.
You conservatives should print the amount of money spent by the King on Wagu, chefs, flying, vacations, etc on the back of flyers and attach it to emails.
It might make the average uninterested person mad enough to vote.
Wagyu beef is $80 per POUND?!?!?!
There used to be a FReeper called ‘butternut_squash_bisque’, but he got banned before I got the recipe off his homepage. :(
Yep....the cattle is massaged every day.
With all due respect, the proper pairing of wines to food can make a huge difference in the success, or lack thereof, to a meal.
Whats the Word? ----------------------- THUNDERBIRD!!
Wookie’s gonna dive right in...Hope the South Korean President grabs some food fast while it’s there!!!
Obama collected more campaign contributions from Wall St. firms than any other candidate in history. I think he’s qualified to be both a Wall Street AND a White House Fatcat.
the president trashes Republicans daily are any showing up to dine with him??
wonder how many diamonds michelle will be wearing tonight? will she wear a wig or her own slicked down nappy hair?
damn I can't wait to send them to Chicago. and take their personal chef along with them...
any one seen michelle's mom since Aug?? when she and michelle slipped out in the shade of darkness to go to Utah???? did she quit her babysitting job?
I think I remember $100-120/lb back in 2009 when Zero started “working” (LOL!), but that was Japanese Wagu, and this is Texas Wagu.
She eats that a lot.
I wonder how much it costs us to have hired one of her handmaidens whose job it is to tie the bib around her neck and wipe the grease off of her mouf so she doesn’t get slop on her Mardi Gras dress.
And THIS fat piggie with the big fat butt will say
Weeeeeee weeeeee weeeeee!!!!!!! All the way back to Chi Town.
oink oink oink...
The 1867 Reconstruction legislature of the State of Lousiana voted themselves about $250,000 in Christmas hams. Nothing has changed.

Mo-bama’s caboose is bigger than Kim Yoon-ok’s entire body, Yikes!
I gotta admit I like the purple gown, but the blue print-—awful.
Lots of Japanese food for Koreans.
Not very good history between those countries.
Feeding Japanese food to Koreans... PRICELESS!!!
It’s crude, rude and unbecoming for a first lady to bare so much skin. It’s downright disrespectful and sickening.
I’m sure Michelle will work off the calories with her Shakeweight. ;-).
Yeah that’s kind-of weird. Why not traditional American fall food? why make a strange combo of American and Japanese?
I hope both FUBO and FUMO choke on it.
They are using the Reagan china. I’m surprised all those liberals will have an appitite when they realize that.
Thunderbird....A bunch of us 17 year old girls got ahold of a bottle of Thunderbird for our weekly card game. Decided it must be an acquired taste. Gosh we were funny!!
I knew they would get the $100 per LB Wagyu beef in there somewhere.
Well, I have several butternut squashes and kale from my garden that will end up on our dinner plates this week
But I didn’t grow any Wagyu beef
It’s good to be King (& Queen) - Let them eat cake!!
OMG, Look at that fanny.
I like the dress too, but not on her!! Her arms look like she’s ready to win the heavy weight boxing championship!! The dress makes them look out of proportion for the rest of her body.
(Wanna bet she weighs more than BO. I think I know who wins the fights in that family!)
Followed by a refreshing spray! =:-o
Wonder what the OWS protesters would think of this menu?
