Frank Rebuts Gingrich Criticism
A Semi-News/Semi-Satire from AzConservative ^ | 15 Oct 2011 | John Semmens

Posted on 10/17/2011 11:56:49 AM PDT by John Semmens

In this week’s Republican presidential candidate debate, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich blamed the 2008 financial crisis on “reforms” enacted through the efforts of former chairman of the House Financial Services Committee Barney Frank (D-Mass) and former Senate Banking Chairman Christopher Dodd (D-Conn). Gingrich suggested that the two ought to go to jail for their “crimes.”

Representative Frank defended his actions in support of the legislation that compelled banks to lend to untrustworthy borrowers as “well-intended,” and insisted that any blame for any bad outcomes really belongs to former President Bush because “he let me do it. He could’ve vetoed my bill. But he didn’t. Look, I’m just one member of a 435 member body. Any power I had pales in comparison with the power he had.”

“he let me do it. He could’ve vetoed my bill. But he didn’t..."

I know this piece is satire, but I could really hear Fwank speak in such a manner.

Sorry, Barney, but you're the one who said everything was fine with Freddie and Fannie at the time and you were the ranking member of the Senate Finance committee. YOU are responsible.

Bullsh*t, Barney. Bush tried to rein in FNMA and FHLMC, but you and your buddies insisted nothing was wrong.

I hate socialist commie pig demoRATs with a passion, including butt boy Bwarrny Franks..... but his assessment of dumb ass panderer GW Bush is spot on. The first 4 yrs of GW Bush, he did not veto a single bill that was sent to him. I would say it is because he agreed in principle with every big gubmint grab or piece of crap legislation that was sent to him. 0dumb0 is destroying our country because of malice & hatred & pure evil against the U.S., and GW Bush helped to destroy our country because of his fawning pandering & capitulating & dull stupidity. The legacy of both of these POS rat bastards will wreak destruction & havoc on the U.S. for years to come, if our country even survives that long. Both of these RAT bastards deserve to be taken to the woodshed for a good long thrashing!

So why didn't dumb ass panderer-in-chief GW Bush veto any of the bills? GW Bush has allowed the continued destruction of our country because of his dull stupidity and naive views. He should have vetoed just about everything that was sent to him, including from the big spending Repubs as well. The point is, that GW Bush agreed in principle with every single piece of crap legislation and big gubmint spending that was sent to him.

And just to be clear, his buddies include the usual race-baitors and a willing, even eager, media.

Hey, Sub-Prime Barney - - - . Flip Wilson said it first: “The Devil made me do it.” So don’t hide under someones pant leg with “because “he let me do it. “ BS.

Your criminal sub-prime bill destroyed 30 % of the wealth in the world. YOU are responsible, and deserve to be in jail for the rest of your sorry life.

One should never use the word REBUTT when speaking of a poofter with more traffic up his behind than cars through the Holland Tunnel.

I know this is satire but it isn’t quite as funny as Frank’s real reply. He slammed Gingrich, personal insults, name calling, and general spittle-spraying, but NEVER ADDRESSED THE ACTUAL ISSUES.

Kind of reminded me of back when National Lampoon issued spoofs of other magazines. They tried to lampoon the National Enquirer and couldn’t — it was already a parody of itself. As is Bawny Fwank...
