It's time to start Tarring and Feathering them

Can anyone make plans for the future? It seems that we are living in the Twilight Zone.

We know the politicians are lying and breaking the law and yet nothing is done. We know the bankers have broken laws and are not being prosecuted. We taxpayers are being robbed. The corruption is so blatant and yet nothing is being done. Fast and Furious crimes, the Solyndra scandal are the two in the press now, but the list is so long it’s hard to keep track.

What happened to our country, do we even have a Constitution?

2012 elections can’t come fast enough, but will that get us back on track?

Sorry for the rant, I'm just venting.

Back home from OWS? Have you taken a shower yet? Do! A cold one.

Then get back to us with the names of the evil bankers and the laws that they have broken.

It’s more the corrupt politicians who have taken Wall Street money and adjusted the laws to protect their donors. Then they use tax payer dollars to backstop the bad investments the banks made.

I’m a total capitalist, so don’t get me confused with the OWS crowd. I have never seen true capitalism in this country because the government distorts the markets, minimum wage, funding some companies and not others, can’t buy insurance across state borders, etc. Government has truly made a mess of things.

We need to get back to the constitution as written.

Found this site, perfect!

I’m going to get some and send them to elected officials like Barney Frank and Charles B. Rangel.

It’s a good link, thanks. Compare it with your Wall Street Journal link above, then sit down and cry. Everyone should see them both, for an apt illustration of the quality of dialogue in public space today. shamethebanks.org shows itself to be nothing but a hysterical rant. Click on their AboutUs link there, and it takes you to another rant which says little AboutUs, that is about Them, whoever they might be. Unpersuasive rants everywhere by spoiled children with credit cards they don’t deserve.

In the meantime, those evil banks send me credit card offers every day with thousands of airline and hotel points that smart people described in another WSJ article today collect and exchange for free first class vacations in Buenos Aires and Dubai. (One dude described has over 30 credit cards and he’s riding high!) Let us prey!

Yeah, Obama and Biden are the Duke and Dauphin of Huck Finn. All talk, no walk.

Whoever made the decisions to give out loans ignoring industry qualification standards committed fraud on the investors. Whoever bundled and resold those bad loans across the world, committed fraud on investors.

There is plenty to prosecute in the banking industry for the crimes that brought down the real estate market. They should all be prosecuted.

I am not a prosecutor, but I really wish I was right now.

I think you know the Congress, courts and the President have been violating the constitution and you know of the direct crimes committed by the Obama administration which have been in the news. Nothing is happening to the government workers and leaders who comitted the crimes and nothing happens with the three branches of government violate our constitution.

We need to make the corruption and dictator game a lot more risky by making an example of those in power in no uncertain terms. We have to reacquaint the elite with the concept and crime of treason.

No matter how one looks at it, the governments of the world have made promises that they financially can’t keep. The world wide system is bankrupt. It’s just math and those realities are catching up to us.

I live in the country and can hunt for food, but the people in the cities will be devastated when the pension systems fail. It looks like it will get very messy.

They will have you arrested. So don’t make any threats like that. But do organize a group of citizens and lawyers to go after elitist corruption.

I wouldn’t do anything that would violate the law. Not actually taring and feathering. I looked at the kit, on the site, it has molasses, it’s tongue in cheek.

Blame it on the Government that made the banks make those bad loans.

Blame it on Barney Frank, he bears the greatest guilt, and what did it cost him? Nothing.

Barney Frank should get the first bucket of tar spread.

Idealistic I know, but our country was founded on respect for the rule of law, and the power to correct injustices is given to the government by the people. Get elected, appoint a wise judiciary, pass just laws and enforce them.

We do not become an unruly mob dispensing justice out of anger.

Now there may soon come a time when the our government can no longer be corrected from the inside and we must exercise our right to alter or abolish it. When that happens we will restore our republic, not mete out vengeance.

You are right. I blame it on all the corrupt characters involved - top to bottom. It was the banks with the legal responsibility. Politicans are just free agent walking, talking hazards to human health and happiness.
