Posted on 10/21/2011 9:33:44 AM PDT by ventanax5
Timing is everything. Qaddafi was not killed in retaliation for his attacks on American servicemen in Berlin in 1986, or the downing of Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie in 1989. He was not killed for his central role in the USSR's terror networks going back to the 1960s and 1970s. He was killed after coming over to our side of George Bush's "war on terror" in the final phase of a civil war in Libya in which his regime fought al Qaeda affiliates.
Horrific as it sounds, Qaddafi was killed because we and our NATO allies joined the other side -- the al Qaeda affiliates.

you didn’t realize that this is all part of restoring the Islamic caliphat?
The Mahdi is near, they must prepare.
This man is soiling everything he touches.
From the moment ozero stepped up to deliver that address at the 2004(?) DNC, the fix was not only in, but the plan was in motion
explains Obama’s EOY pullout too....
Left him cold too ...
Why are you crying over this SOB. Was he elected the leader of the country? No he led a coup and took it away from another leader then lost it the same way. I am glad this monster is dead and I am glad it was one of his own people that pulled the trigger. Saddam, Osama, Al awaki and now Daffy, monsters all, now who is next?
Obama didn’t do this for the good of America. You do see that, don’t you?
and just how do you know who pulled the trigger - Ron Brown had a bullet hole in his head, too - any guesses who did him in?
you just don’t get it, I am afraid - chaos is upon us - rule of law out the door.
So glad to hear from someone not suffering from acute amnesia - there is no way this Green-Horned rookie would be where he is today unless the fix was in long ago, probably from the time he stepped into Columbia — didn’t have the grades, but did have serious friends in low places.
“Who is next” is exactly right. With Obama and his Arab spring, we basically succeeded in making Egypt and Libya into one seamless swath of muslim brotherhood/al qaeda israel hatred.
Former Libyan artillery is now up on the egyptian border of gaza to protect the palestinans,, 20,000 handheld shoulder fired missiles are gone, the Egyptian border to Gaza is now open, Iranian warships are siling through the Suez canal.
Christians are murdered in the street in Egypt, and it’s a safe bet the new “democracy” in Libya won’t be inviting former Libyan Jews to return.
All Obama has done is replace a few marginally pragmatic MINO* strongmen with full-on muslim sharia radicals.
(MINO*- a new name invented by me (patent pending) meaning muslim in name only,,, See “Mubarak” and “Kaddaffi” as examples of backsliding strongman muslim leaders who occaisionally cracked heads on the zealots and did not seek any new wars with israel. They are easily identified because our Saudi and Pakistani president is always aligned against them because the do not seek to wipe out Israel)
You forgot to add in Kosovo under Clinton
Who is next ?
Why Saudi Arabia of course then Kuwait etc
Then the Radical Muslims will have ALL the oil in the ME
I think I'll bring it up at Thanksdiving and see if anyone remembers and/or whether it had any effect.
yeah. dosen’t matter he had the bñood of hundreds of Americans on hos hands huh? rather dance with the devil than dance alone I guess.
Ah yes... Kosovo. Amazing isn’t it? Every muslim hostile to Israel,,,Obama leaves alone or supports. The ones who are “friendly” to the US and rather secular,,,, he works to oust.
When Iran had their Arab spring, Obama was aloof,,, and said we must not interfere. He let them be gunned down in the streets. Same for Syria right now.
Obama is a marxist/radical muslim who has outright hatred for Israel. He has nothing but disdain for America and thinks she should be cut down to size. realize that and everything else instantly makes sense.
There is no one more aware of the Chaos around us than me, I know it up close and personal that is why I am glad Daffy is dead. As far as who killed him I know it wasn’t a uniformed US serviceman, it was a civilian, presumebly a Libian one and that is even better.
Simple, you know his replacement will be even worse.
This editorial articulates my feelings well enough. You should read it, if you haven't already.
Guys, let’s not give Obama to much credit here. Remember, this all began with a spontaneous rebellion in Benghazi that swept over the country. So far as I’m aware there is no Muslim Brotherhood or Al Q. presence in Libya. Michael Totten on Pajamas Media made it clear that even in Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood was a witness to events, not an instigator.
Obama would have preferred never to have been involved but Daffy had gained the upper hand early on and was grinding the rebels down. Obama was desperately looking to the UN and the Arab League to give him cover for an action. Nobody wanted to be fingered for any responsibility for the massacre which was about to unfold when the blood-maddened Daffy retook Benghazi. Finally he could wait no longer and led with his behind (or whatever the strategy is called). Yeah, Daffy could have been taken out far more easily than he was. The rhetorical knots Obama and the Euros twisted themselves into trying to justify this non-intervention intervention were ludicrous. I wonder how long it will be before we get the full story and details as to the extent of the bombing and how it was stage-managed. Nevertheless, the rebels would have been toast without it.
I have even heard opinions to the effect that this long drawn-out campaign has been beneficial to the extent that the National Transitional Council and the rebel militia has had time to develop and find their footing as an organization with a unified purpose.
It remains to be seen whether or not they come together as a country or splinter on ethnic and tribal lines over disbursement of the oil schwag. But I’m not going to automatically assume the worst. They are in much better shape than Egypt—which is going to be in the grips of Bangaladeshi-magnitude famine within a year or so. Being that they import so much of their food and they are about to run out of money to pay for it.
