A veterans groups called The Veteran Defenders of America has now answered that question. In a documented Call-to-Action titled a – A Declaration to Restore the Constitutional Republic – former Military and Law Enforcement Officers have come together to demand that all oath-takers immediately execute their oaths in preservation of the Constitutional Republic.

At present, every member of the Military, Law Enforcement, Justice, Congress and federal employment is in direct violation of their oaths. As they stand idly by allowing an anti-American transformation of our constitutional form of government, they do so in direct violation of the oaths they have each taken.

This is not just an act which justifies their immediate removal from office — it is in fact a federal crime punishable by extreme measures.

As a result, an undisclosed number of veterans across the country have joined forces to demand that every individual who has ever taken an oath to the Constitution immediately and without reservation, begin to adhere to that oath.

They have put out an open Call-to-Action for every oath-taker and every true American patriot to join them in Washington D.C. on Veterans Day, November 11, 2011 at the Washington Monument to demonstrate the will of the people and the resolve to protect and defend our Constitution and the free Republic for which it stands.

I spent 1 1/2 years in Navy ROTC in college and then transferred to a school that did not have that program.

I do not consider that military service.

But I missed the section of the First Amendment where I had to have military service to note that the proposals in 11 are extra-constitutional and have absolutely no chance of ever happening, and themselves represent a dangerous concept on their own accord.

Paul Valleley, US Army Major Gen. (retired) is a major participant in the groups who are involved with this. You may recall he was a Fox military contributor. He lost his officer son in Iraq.

Their message: "we issue the following CALL for peaceful disobedience."

The call is led by MG Paul Vallely, Col. James Harding and Col. Harry Riley of Veteran Defenders of America (VDA), a service member division of The United States Patriots Union. Both are member-only organizations formed and funded by an undisclosed number of members.

By my statement, I didn’t mean that I was in the military, though I come from family of many military members, including those who endured much suffering while in service, to this day.

I fully support this peaceful protest and legal assembly ..it’s extremely critical and very important that the public, the military in particular, take every opportunity to publicly acknowledge the horrendous corruption and daily decimation of this great nation, the Constitution and our most sacred covenants and values by this radical. The rest.. the reactions .. like so much, is yet unknown .. in the hands of public opinion and of God.

How many thought that Rick Santelli’s TV rant would subsequently inspire the formation of loose tea party patriot organizations across the nation and that they would grow markedly to have the huge election/political impact they do .. back two years ago?

Just who better has the right to call out the abuses and rogue and extra legal practices of Obama and his administration and to their oath of office and to the Constitution?

But seriously, take a minute and read through the demands in post 11. They are pointless, absurd and go beyond the realm of not happenening. I smell the over-the-top antics of internet blowhard JB Williams behind it. Demanding extra-Constitutional action to defend the Constitution is contradictory and counterproductive.

Stick with pointing out how horrible Obama has been and call for voters to keep voting out the rascals, including the worst of the GOP. THAT worked in 2010, we don't need to change the message for 2012.

It is my great privilege and honor to rally America’s veterans to join the ranks of the Veteran Defenders of America - now a division of PatriotsUnion.Org Network.

I meet veterans across America who share my grave concerns about the future safety of our country and the preservation of our cherished liberties.

Perhaps the greatest threat to our safety and liberty is the threat of radical Islam. This threat goes well beyond the threat of terrorism. Islamists, both inside and outside of America, are looking for any and every way to infiltrate and subvert our country through what is known as “stealth jihad.”

There are other threats to our safety and security, such as the threat of natural disasters, where a grassroots, volunteer organization of veterans could make a difference.

You and I swore an oath to defend our nation and our Constitution against all threats, foreign and domestic. When I retired from the Army, my oath did not retire, and I trust yours didn’t either. I call upon you today, my fellow veterans, to join me in honoring that oath by becoming a member of the Veteran Defenders of America.

The motto of the Veteran Defenders of America is “The eyes and ears of freedom, because we know freedom isn’t free.” I invite you to become a member of the Veteran Defenders of America and join me as our “eyes and ears of freedom.”
