Yep. The “fix” is in. The political elites have already determined who the candidates are going to be. So, we’re screwed no matter who wins the next election. It’s either Obama or Obama-lite (Romney).

Agreed. I won’t vote for Romney or any RINO. As long as they’re headed in the same direction as the libs, I’d rather see the libs get the full credit for what happens. Maybe things need to get much worse before people wake up, but the sooner that happens the better and let’s be clear on who is responsible.

It’s pretty easy to look at the OWSies and laugh and pat ourselves on the back.
But make no mistake about it...this was a dry run for the coming summer. The democrats are going to learn from their mistakes and will come back strong.
I think they’ve learned that their base is way too unfocused and poorly disciplined for a grass roots movement. The DNC has learned that they are not capable of duplicating the TEA party. So the next time, they won’t even try. The next time they will have a strong central leadership with a few central messages. And the democrat sheep will follow along.
OWS participation was poor, but the media did a good job of hiding this. Expect them to find a way to pay participants without making it look like they’re paying anyone. Union member “incentives”. Free food. Perhaps coax a few popular liberal musicians to give “free” concerts. They need to publish that “big crowd” shot that was strangely missing from the MSM coverage.
The DNC learned that the OWSies got incredible media attention. Way more than it deserved. Expect them to build on that.
It will not surprise me if there will be counter demonstrations as well, come next summer.
While the protestors well deserved the whacking that they got, I would have to argue that the result was only to inflame and enlarge their numbers. Do you have any data that would suggest otherwise?

I see this all backfiring against OWS and the lefties bigtime come next year.
I was 24 years old in 1968 and remember the whole business EXTREMELY well (pun intended, unfortunately).
