It's about time someone on Free Republic has the gonads to tell it like it is. The Herman Cain campaign is starting to resemble the storyline of the great Robert Earl Keen's song, "Mr. Wolf and Momma Bear." If you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to it here.

Well done, bullypulpit! You've offered some excellent pieces in recent weeks in support of Rick Perry and I appreciated them. Now you're taking on the insurgent candidacy of Herman Cain --- a true political neophyte if there ever was one. And that is my biggest concern with Cain. No governing or legislative record to judge him on and not much direct political experience to speak of. As far as I can tell, the Cain campaign is flying by the seat of its pants. Now that Cain sits atop the leader-board, he's finally getting the serious scrutiny that he deserves and has thus far not received.

I must admit having serious reservations about Gov Perry after his poor debate performances. But you're right about the anti-Perry opposition forces. They've been swift and relentless with their endless gratuitous attacks on the Texas Governor. Bunch of juvenile delinquents if you ask me.

Hello, Perrybot. At least Cain’s not an open borders guy.

This is a smear and it borders on racism. It shows how desperate you and your candidate are getting. But RINOs are like that.

This is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you.

Para Espanol, imprime el numero uno. Press Two for English.

"The Obama Campaign sincerely THANKS YOU VERY MUCH, Mr. Hyde, for the great "oppos" on to-be GOP Nominee Herman Cain.

This will indeed come in handy in the Fall of 2012 and for our Great Leader's reelection. Thanks!! Circular firing squad by the GOP. Lovin it!

And of course, suffice it to say, The Gipper thanks you from the Afterlife for so fastidiously adhering to his Republic 11th Commandment, all the for sake of the machiavellian salivation of power instead of accentuating your own guy's positives. Texas attack dog-style. Great Job there Mr. Hyde. But OF COURSE "Radar on. Fox One" (sic)." All that is missing in this feckless, useless article with a shelf life of a fart in an Antarctic windstorm, is a co-authorship from Dr. Jekyll.

So now a website "campaign newsletter" report from Rick Perry to his supporters is supposed to be treated as hard news?

I've been staying out of all the various debates thus far, but this seems kind of tacky to me.

If Perry (or you) want me to vote for him, this really isn't the way to go about it.

Cain reckless and arrogant?? C'mon, the man 'jokes' about electrocuting, or shooting, Mexican men, women and children. That Cain, he's such a hoot!

Now what was alarming was how many Cain supporters thought there was a sliver of truth in what he 'joked' about. Those people were champing at the bit in anticipation of seeing dead Mexicans strewn across about our southern border.

wow - this article reads like a triple-decker inference-from-innuendo sandwich! Did Sherlock Holmes dumber brother get all jealous and start a blog? “Thus have I proven it was Colonel Mustard in the Drawing Room with the Candlestick.” Yawn. The writer should go back to playing Clue - and losing.

Well BYE. What is reckless and arrogant is this utterly clueless rant you waste time and space posting.

Beat Cain on the issues or get out of the way. This slimy personal attacks and reckless smears do one thing, strength him.

Cain just does not know insider politics.

AND I LOVE THAT ABOUT HIM

He needs to pick Newt as his VP so they he has someone with Washington experience next to him

BUT I DONT WANT ANOTHER WASHINGTON INSIDER- LOOK AT THE MESS THAT ‘EXPERIENCED’ POLITICIANS HAVE GIVEN US!!!

Listening to a radio talk show right now, and the hosts asked the question, whether the “leak” came from Cain?

:D I like it.

Perry is an a$$ and an elitist twit. Gee, I think illegal aliens should be deported and our public dollars should not support them.

Oops, I’m heartless.

Have compassion on your own dime jerks.

I tried to read it, but when the supporting material comes from Politico and NY Times it’s hard to take it seriously.

I really much rather hear why to support Perry than a hit piece on another candidate. Trashing another GOP candidate seems to be to be saying, “Vote for my candidate because the other guy does bad stuff.” It’s, in essence, going for the default vote reminiscent of McCain, Dole, et al. It might make a good strategy for the unwashed masses, but won’t do much on FR but stir up trouble. Perhaps that’s your goal?
