If it is true, what does it say about the envirsnment at the NRA? It may be that the NRA was seen as a “sucker” for disguntled women to file false charges in order to make a fast buck before they go. If you hate working there, or hate your boss, and want to leave, why not make an accusation to collect $20,000 before taking another gig?
A picture of the NRA is emerging as a place where they do a fair amount of late night eating and drinking - which makes sense to some degree because its their business, moreso because they lobby Congress and throw parties to do it.
But also a picture is emerging where, perhaps in part because of all the drinking, there might be some hanky panky, some flirting and maybe that makes them easy prey for accusations true and false alike.

I actually just heard some dummy on Rush claiming to be a “Christian” and talking about how just being alone with a woman shows that Cain has poor judgement. Then he said he was switching to NEWT!
