Most awkward debate moment since James Stockdale. My skin was crawling. I have not been a fan or supporter, but feel bad for him; that was humiliating. He’s done.

I don’t think the moment itself was that big a deal, but for it to happen to the guy that has struggled with articulation in these debates, to the point that he has mentioned skipping debates, and the guy that was accused of being drunk for a speech that went viral, it is very damaging.
Bet he wishes he skipped this debate.

The sad part about this, is his answer was the only one that our local news bothered to show. They ignored the rest, including Cain's answer that brought the house down near the end.

Definitely a senior moment there. When you get older sometimes you forget things. Hate when I forget what the heck freeway I am driving on :> Guess that is why they have signs.

I know I'm glad the fields narrowed down by one more, but this still hurts. I would have liked Perry to drop out weeks ago and see his supporters pick up a non-romney candidate.
I didn't want to see any Perry supporters here go through this though. I hurt for them. This wasn't just a gaffe, this was total humiliation. They, his supporters, especially here, didn't deserve that.

So far, Perry has been his own worst enemy, He isn’t down in the polls by anything inflicted by anyone else.
I believe I heard he wouldn’t debate his prior opponent. Big mistake. The guy needs a lot of practice.
It amazes me when a person won’t work on their main flaws, especially if those flaws can take you out.

Big deal!
I'm hardly a Perry supporter, but it's much more important to me that he recognizes the need to implode government than whether he has a momentary brain-freeze while speaking.

To paraphrase an old, old, Doonesbury strip:
Debate Moderator: Question for you, Former Speaker Gingrich. What's your biology term paper on?
Newt: Juxtabronchial organ secretions in the higher mollusks.
Debate Moderator: And you, Gov. Perry?
Perry: Our Friend the Beaver.
Cheers!
