Actually, I used to agree with that, but it hit me as I read some other posts that if the dems REALLY do not want to fight Cain in the election, they may have strong incentive to ensure he doesn’t get past the primary.
The fact that this whole smear seems to come from Chicago amplifies the possibility, I believe.
One of the CNN infobabes tipped their hand when Bialek surfaced; saying something to the effect that “Cain may lose support when his ‘victim’ is revealed to be a blonde white woman”.
LIBs & DIMs disgust me.
This cannot be emphasized enough. When it comes to "electability", Cain has a huge advantage over all the other candidates, Obama will not be able to effectively use the race card against him, and Obama never would have got elected in the first place if the election was race neutral.
Also, anyone else notice the complainants have gone essentially silent since Cain`s attorney pointedly advised future ones to “think twice” before getting on the allegation bandwagon? When one knows the costs.. financial and otherwise.. outweigh the benefits, they`ll stand down.
Much to their chagrin, they`ve found in Cain a pretty good scrapper.. a guy who will give hard push-back when needed. Cain didn`t work his way up the corporate ladder by shrinking from adversity.
The enemy was hoping he`d just slink away in fear. Not this time, leftards...you`ve picked a fight with that rare conservative who`ll fight back.

Romney may have quietly cheered it, but I think this is wholly the work of the dems. That Chicago connection of Bialek is rather suspicious.
Gov. Sarah Palin and Mr. Herman Cain are an existential threat to the Left and the Democratic Party. That’s why the push to remove them both before they garner the Republican nomination. Did you think they attacked Gov. Palin 24/7 for three years because they didn’t like the way she talked?

Potential Smear Campaign Backfire for Democratic Operatives

Further investigations into the background information of women involved in charges leveled at Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has revealed that the women have direct links to democratic operatives and a potential smear campaign backlash against democratic operatives.
The accusations began when information about an investigation regarding Herman Cain during his time with the US Restaurant Association (USRA) was leaked to the press. The details were cited as “five-figure harassment settlements”. However; later information revealed that the complaints resulted in severance pay for the two women, not harassment settlements, a vast difference that was incorrectly or even intentionally misrepresented.
Next, an accuser named Sharon Bialek surfaced. She claimed Mr. Cain touched and spoke to her inappropriately yet provided little specifics that would warrant such a settlement prompting experts to immediately doubt the story. It turns out Ms. Bialek has a history of lawsuits, bankruptcies and job changes of the type associated with individuals who are known for “gaming the system”. And a further check revealed she lives in the same apartment complex as David Axelrod, a Democrat political operative and close confidante of President Obama. This startling revelation has taken the entire accusation from the level of doubtful to in fact suspicious as an underhanded partisan operation against Mr. Cain.
The most recent woman to go public is Karen Kraushaar, who was one of the original complainants. Her claim was that Mr. Cain made a gesture, holding his hand horizontally, indicating that she was the same size as his own wife. Crititcs and the public in general was left curiously wondering what the offensive nature of this might be, once again pointing to a smear campaign against Mr. Cain. After leaving the restaurant association, she filed another harassment complaint with the Immigration & Naturalization Service where she worked, but later dropped it. Ms. Kraushaar claims to have been a Republican at the time of the incident with Mr. Cain, but in fact she donated money to the Democrat party in 2009.
Obama was in shock, OMG, that Cain, Black fella is going to hook up with that Rubio, Hispanic dude, and...coupled with the White vote is going to fry my America hating behind. “Axelrod get on this right now, this Cain gent is going to cut heavily into “My” Black vote and Hispanic vote!!! Zap, him right now!!! Go out and get that Gloria Allred hag and a couple of airhead bimbos and stick to ole Herman, the Black man impersonator. How dare, that Black boy infringe on my Black Slaves, oops.... I mean Black tenants on my economic holding pen Plantation!!! Next thing you know, these Black folk & Hispanics will screaming for equal freedom. liberty, education and opportunity, etc.!!! The Democrats want to destroy Cain because he threatens their narrative about Obama and race, especially with a respected black columnist and scholar like Sowell saying that Cain is more authentic than Obama.
Romney wants to destroy Cain for being the guy who most threatens his coronation.
Perry wants to destroy Cain in the mistaken belief that he will pick up those votes.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re all in on it.
