This cannot be allowed to prevail.

It will prevail as long as conservatives send their children to public schools.

Why do patriotic Americans continue to send their children to the union-run, tax-funded, government school collectives

Because their church has only 9 commandments?

Once again the good is sacrificed to appease evil. By banning the american flag shirts they are sanctioning the violence that they fear. What will be next? English language textbooks. Maybe we should just ban the English language in public schools.

This photo is from Watsonville High's graduation which is some 30 miles away from Morgan Hill. Notice that during the pledge, thank you Marines, that not all of the kids are participating. Notice also the neck gear worn by the Hispanic kids. The school district allowed this to show their cultural pride. American flag no. Hispanic pride neck wear ok. Photobucket

As a middle school principal in a small public school, I can tell you that I have and will never make a student remove an American flag that is being displayed correctly. I don’t care what holiday or nationality recognition day, this is the United States of America and the American Flag trumps all others in our country.
In fact during my Veterans Day slide show presentation I made for the studens and our Veteran guests, I included a slide saying “God Bless our Troops” along with the song “God Bless America”. So while there are many screwed up school administrators, not all public schools are that way.

Some of the students should have exercised their 1st Amendment rights by burning a Mexican Flag.

Actually I think the parents ought to do it, on the steps of the school. The should be accompanied by a large contingent of armed minute men, to ensure there is no interference with the new patriotic civic tradition of "the burning of the Mexican flag on Cinco de' Maya day"

Let's light them up all over America this May Five!

To hell with illegal Mexicans and their stinky mayo day. Americans should all be sure to celebrate April 21: San Jacinto day!

Maybe this is a smaller matter than other reasons to homeschool, but it’s proof that political correctness has infested the public schools.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

It's not a small matter as another reason to homeschool.

This is absolutely disgusting.

I’ll point this article out to my homeschoolers. Thanks for the ping.

I wear my red/white/blues anywhere and anytime. I expect my kids to do as they will as well.

The judge also found that officials‘ concern over the potential violence that could be incited by the students’ pro-American outfits justified the school’s actions

So... whoever is the most potent threat gets special treatment. It's the Obama way, folks. Occupy is the strategy. Back down, you Americans.

Back down! Kneel!

Sit, stay!

Ten years from now Mexico will no longer exist as a country. The government will have collapsed and the tribal leaders and the drug lords will be fight over bits of the remains.

BTW, May 5th is a special day for me and I celebrate it. I don’t believe in the Cinco de Mayo stuff but on May 5th, 1961 was the day that the first American achieved space flight with Alan B. Shepard in Freedom 7. We should call it Alan B. Shepard day.
