I don’t think the issue here is the durability, ruggedness, or armor of the lockbox. They do look quite solid.

The PRINCIPLE is that now, anyone who has access to this lockbox, can on a whim, without a search warrant, without plausible reason - enter your home at will.

If the TSA is having problems with theft of customer luggage, what will allowing the entire police force, ambulance service, Utility and Firemen have complete and total access to your home; at any time, for any reason or no reason at all?

Yes, and in a preemptory role in advance of an actual or perceived state of civil unrest they will also use the key to enter your home and remove every self defense object that you have stored in it...or am I being paranoid?
