Need LA Freepers to show up to block this vote by the Occupy LA General Assembly. How brave are you?

Occupy Wall Street Los Angeles just tweeted the following invitation: “@OWSLosAngeles - Meeting at 5 PM on the west steps to discuss the deal the city is offering to try and get us off of the south lawn.”

The Los Angeles Times reported early this morning: Occupy L.A. receives offer to decamp, Protesters could get downtown office space and farmland if they leave City Hall.

“…City officials have offered protesters a $1-a-year lease on a 10,000-square-foot office space near City Hall.”

“… Officials also promised land elsewhere for protesters who wish to farm, as well as additional housing for the contingent of homeless people who joined the camp.”

Politicians are giving away taxpayer money to these leftists to leave City Hall. This is just one more effort by the Democrats to get free handouts and screw the honest, hardworking taxpayers.

This is just one more example of what is wrong with the government today.

What would anyone expect from this mayor?

Like Perry, he's an illegal alien apologist, who does nothing but pander to this violent invasion and the leftist who run that city.

This is the beginning of institutionalizing these dirt bags. Soon they’ll have a PAC, offices in DC, and taxpayer subsidies with annual baseline budget increases. And of course they’ll be able to claim unemployment and retraining benefits if they’re ever let go.

The LA chapter of the TEA party should demand a 10,000 sq. ft. office space or threaten to take the city to court.

You’d have to go to a bathhouse in San Francisco to see something gayer than that.

Infiltration to Disrupt, Divide and Mis-direct are Widespread in Occupy

Feb 27, 2012

by: Kevin Zeese and Margaret Flowers, Occupy Washington, DC | Report

Excerpt:

Los Angeles also had infiltrators from the right wing group, Free Republic. They posted on their webpage ( link to this thread ) a call for infiltrators to block a vote concerning an offer from the City of Los Angeles for virtually free space for Occupy LA: “Need LA Freepers to show up to block this vote by the Occupy LA General Assembly. How brave are you?” In the end, the LA occupy decided not to accept the offer from the city, something also opposed by other elements in the encampment.

Hey, Jim.

How are you getting along these days? My family and I keep you and FR in our prayers.

Can I ask a quick question?

Do we have defined anywhere on FR a list of core beliefs that we support as an organization?

The reason I ask is that I increasingly see posts from what I call “liberaltarians” that seem very contrary to FR has traditionally stood for. These are not ‘libertarians’ who have something of a conservative perspective and with who we are united by our common desire for limited government. These are essentially liberals, and I suspect some may even be DU trolls, that continually post (nearly to the point of harassment) about the need to legalize drugs and support same-sex marriage, etc., which are ideological beliefs that I also thought were anathema to our conservatism.

If you check the posts of someone like “JustSayNoToNannies” you’ll see that almost the entire effort of the posts is not to discuss but to beat-down FReepers with the idea that ‘true conservatism’ supports not only legalizing drugs but, essentially, lifting all cultural restrictions on individual behavior, which to me results in cultural anarchy, and as we all know, an anarchic situation is always very short-lived and quickly replaced by the iron-fist of the State, which is why conservatives believe in voluntarily restraint of individual behavior that could result in the destruction of enough individual lives as to cause societal decay.

Any guidance you could provide on this issue I’d greatly appreciate. I don’t want to get in shouting matches here, but if someone seems to be pushing an agenda contrary to what FR stands for, I’m going to call them on it.

Thanks, and God bless.

You have a hard time following FR guidelines, it seems. http://www.freerepublic.com/help.htm#guidelines: "refrain from abusive attacks"

You’re an advocate of recreational drug-usage.

Pretty funny to hear you so concerned about guidelines.

LOL!

You’re an advocate of recreational drug-usage.

No, I'm an advocate of letting adults decide for themselves whether to engage in recreational drug-usage, be it alcohol, tobacco, or anything else.
