On Monday, NewsBusters broke a story about Washington Post blogger Aaron Blake using Twitter to dig up dirt on Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.
On Tuesday, the former House Speaker spoke to St. Louis radio host and Big Journalism editor Dana Loesch about this saying, "It’s a little sad to see a paper the quality of the Washington Post stoop to...the National Enquirer approach to life" adding they "would rather worry about rumors about conservatives than facts about the President" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

The MSM will only cover GOP gaffes and “scandals” even if they have to make them up to make the GOP nominee look idiotic while ignoring Obama’s gaffes and scandals to make him look Presidential.
That is the strategy. If you expect the media to discuss the issues in this campaign, you are dreaming.
Say what you like about Gingrich -- no, he is far from the perfect candidate, but it's nice to see SOMEONE have the b*lls to stand up to Bozo the Clown who lives in the WH.

The Tabloids are probably more factual and they get sued for slander and defamation by celebrities that want to fight back.

Go Newt!!! POUND BACK ON THESE BASTERDS — every single day, relentlessly. This is EXACTLY what we need. Newt is THE ONE to make a mockery of the press.
I hope he does it until they run home w/ their tails between their legs. And Perhaps one day we’ll know what it’s like to have a free press again.

I agree - say what you will about Newt... but he is the only one with the balls to hit back hard... and fast. And, I finally won’t have to watch debates with while holding my breath, praying for good responses.
It’s a fact that the conventions and debates are the most watched events with the highest ratings - unfiltered by the msm. And Newt can smack down moderators too!
I am really beingining to enjoy his handling of the press. That said I’m not a Gringrich fan....But ANYONE is better than Romney.
He is fearless. Much like Sarah Palin, he’s been trashed and slashed by the vicious press and has no use for journ0lists or the lamestream.
I hope and pray it stays that way because Republicans have a way of trying to make the press like them after a while and that’s when they go soft: read RINO.
Yes, he mauls them the way they should be.
