Televangelist and senior pastor of Houstons Lakewood Church Joel Osteen explained on Fox News Channels Huckabee over the weekend that President Barack Obama reached out to Osteen and Lakewood.
He has reached out to us, Osteen said. And we have done some of the leadership things there at the White House with him and been able to pray with him just simple things like that. And hes been very kind and friendly to our ministry.
A number of Americans still have questions about Obamas religious beliefs. Whether it is due to his 20 year attendance at the Rev. Jeremiah Wrights Trinity United Church, polls indicating that 12 percent of Americans still believe that he is a Muslim, or the first familys decision to not regularly attend church, the presidents Christian faith has not been an easy issue for the White House.
Earlier in the segment, host Mike Huckabee delved into Osteens thoughts on if Obama should attend church more regularly. Osteen was forgiving.
You know I think it would be great. You know, I am probably too full of mercy and to say, you know, maybe all the things that come with the presidency, the security and all that maybe that plays into it, Osteen said. But I believe he loves the Lord and things. I dont know. But in the ideal world, yes [he would attend regularly].
Obama explained in 2010 that he will not be joining a church while president because it is too disruptive.
In 2010, Osteen attended Obamas Easter breakfast at the White House.
Two peas in a pod imo.
A fraudulent president reaches out to a fraudulent “evangelist” and his fraudulent “church”...
One con man reaches out to another, perhaps?

Who handled the “zipper”?...
Osteen is the spawn of an adulterous relationship - his preacher/pastor father ran off with the piano player. That, of course, isn’t Osteen’s fault, but perhaps it has something to do with Osteen’s profound theological and intellectual shallowness.
It’s incredible that people buy into these guys. Just one look of his constantly smiling mug with his perfect hair should scare anybody from sending money to his “ministry”.

The Antichrist and his false prophet.
For all the mega-church pastors:
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think
How much, Joel?
Considering that Osteen doesn’t really preach God’s word regularly...
I’m so tired of this sappy prosperity preacher mumbling and stumbling with his dishwater thick understanding of Christianity. Not too long ago, this “preacher” said that the mormon “religion” was Christian. It only takes a 2nd or 3rd grade religion class to see that this is bunk.
And now he’s ingratiating himself with a stinking muslim that has utter contempt for God and Christ . . . witness Obambi’s 503 word Thanksgiving homily that never once, not even once, mentioned the word GOD.
I change the channel whenever I see this televangelist yapping about God, but never telling his congregation anything about what the Bible says about abortion, fornication, and homosexual behavior.
Osteens religion is about as thin as Obama’s
P.S. Barry and Michelle's "reaching out" to the NASCAR fans didn't work out. NASCAR fans are not fools and they aren't stupid. They know what a car with no fancy paint job with no stickers and no business logos means. A lot of their drivers don't even have a ride next year.
Sound like a good description of a pickpocket.
Those things you mentioned might upset the paying audience. better to have a "smooth" sermon and fill those collection plates and donor envelopes. Rick Warren is a modern day "money changer", like the kind Jesus drove out of the Temple.
