Perry's On The Move In Iowa

GOP presidential contender Rick Perry is gaining ground in Iowa. A new American Research Group poll shows the Texas governor with 13% support from likely caucus goers. That's up 8 points from the same survey last month while current front runner Newt Gingrich has dropped 5 points (27% to 22%) and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney has dropped 3 (20% to 17%). Congressman Ron Paul has gained a point since November (16% then 17% now), but the majority of the Gingrich/Romney losses are definitely Perry gains.

If you are referring to the One it would be the case that this time around there are in fact some goods which those to whom he seeking to sell will be examining. As the old saying in places like North Carolina, which he thinks he can carry goes: “Fool me once shame on you; fool me twice shame on me.”

“Of those three candidates, I believe that Perry would make the best President.

And the worst candidate”

I don't disagree. But who has the best chance to beat Obama?
Gingrich is obviously a gifted orator. The character issues are there.

Perry needs to drink more caffeine before debates or something. Not bothered by his immigration stuff. He is actually in the arena on the issue as Texas governor; having to deal with this in real life.
The others can all say things about immigration in theory; but Perry has had to deal with it in real life. So I will cut him some slack on the 2 stupid things he has said.

Perry has done a lot of good things in Texas. Really none of the other candidates has this kind of record.

Maybe he needs to watch “The Kings Speech” and get some help in that area!

The question is CAN HE say that...

I think so.

Look at the viable alternative, Gingrich. He can be a mesmerizing speaker, but sometimes he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. He carries a lot of baggage because of his lifetime in politics and being on both sides of a variety of issues. Also, don't underestimate how his personal life will affect his support, especially among married women with children.

IOW, there is no perfect candidate. I'm sticking with Perry because his only weakness is in debates. On policy issues he is solid. His experience is solid. His life story is solid. His personal life is solid. I look at these things and see someone I can trust to try and do the right thing, not the politically expedient thing.

Perry is my first choice, but come on, he really blew it in the debates.

He's not the slickest debater, but if you listen to what he's saying you find he's right on the issues. I love his life story. I look at him and see someone I could do business with on a handshake. I don't see any other candidate I would feel comfortable doing business with that way.

I agree, he is right on the issues - but he needs to convey his message much better.
Of course it didn’t help that Michelle Bachman and Myth Romney attacked him viciously right out of the gate.

Well, it seems you have a decision to make.

I’m not gonna tell you that Perry will ever be the glib, fast talker that Newt is, and if you think he sounded like an escapee from the monkee house in the last two debates (most people don’t), then he’s probably not for you.

I’d love it if Perry were able to string together three or four debates in which he did NOT sound like an escapee from the monkee house...

He has.

Have you seen the last three or four?

“Have you seen the last three or four?”

I’ve caught parts of the last two and he did seem.....more sure of himself. I’ve been very busy lately getting my (soon to be born) son’s nursery ready for him.

I will maintain that Perry would likely be a better POTUS than anyone else running. If he comes sneaking up and takes a second in Iowa? Maybe parlays that into a 2nd or 3rd in New Hampshire.....he could get some real momentum.

I hope he does. Otherwise I’m going to have to vote for a slimy snake in the grass or a liberal.....but I repeat myself.

And he did stumble, but it is a marathon and not a sprint. Right now everyone is getting worked up about IA & NH, but it is SC & FL that are the red states. I think Perry is going to keep climbing in the polls. If Newt knocks out Romney in the meantime all the better.

There was a 15 year gap between my son and my little girl.

In a way, I had two only children, so they both got spoiled.

They love each other a lot.

Perry's record is what it is and is 10 times better than anybody else who is running.

Bachmann didn't know we don't have an embassy in Iran!...and Perry is an idiot?

Newt is a crook! Paul is "nuts." Santoram couldn't get re-elected in his own state!

I'll take the "idiot" with a record of success, thank you!

As a Christian I have a clear directive to support Israel,” Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry said in New York.

I said it a hundred times in here. I refuse to support a Hageeite. A person who thinks America is a means to an end in order to fulfill a religious destiny. This no different than the loon from Iran who is looking for the 13th imam.

When a president of the United States’ foreign policy is bound by a radical religious belief we are opening the door to MUSLIMS, JEWS, CATHOLICS and ANYBODY ELSE to do the same. So, if Muhammed is our next president and his CLEAR DIRECTIVE is to destroy Israel is it ok? NO! NO NO NO !!!!! So, how is it okay to have the opposite situation? Israel is just another state!

Perry does NOT represent Christians as a whole. Nor do any of them. Perry and all the radicals from his camp are a danger to America, justice and the world.

OUR FOUNDING FATHERS would agree with me 100%.

“It is our true policy to steer clear of entangling alliances with any portion of the foreign world.”
— George Washington

“Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations —
entangling alliances with none.”
— Thomas Jefferson

“Our country is now geared to an arms economy which was bred in...war hysteria and nurtured upon an incessant propaganda of fear.”
-– General Douglas MacArthur

I take it you think that all of these men are nuts too.
