MSNBC daytime anchor Thomas Roberts says Mitt Romney's "Keep America America" line pays homage to the Ku Klux Klan. The patriotic slogan, which is used in this video, was apparently used by the KKK in the early 1900s.

When will the left give up this boogeyman of the KKK? When was the last time anyone saw or heard of the Klan?? If they’ve been entirely absent in the era of Obama, I’d have to say it’s a long spent force.

For the record, the House Un-American Activities Committee was started in the 1930s to combat the KKK. So it is both American and un-American.
Did the anchor know that the KKK used that slogan or did someone report that to him?
As much as I dislike Romney I refuse to attack him from the left.
Mitt will now use this comparison in the MSM in order to rally sympathy support from the Right, despite his bad record. Perhaps he was adopting an old KKK slogan so that the MSM would go balistic and he could get that sympathy support. Who knows? Who cares? Don’t be fooled. He’s still Mitt.

Thomas Roberts is an award-winning journalist and anchors MSNBC Live on weekdays at 11am. Roberts also serves as a fill-in host on MSNBC’s “First Look” and NBC’s TODAY. Roberts was made an official member of MSNBC’s dayside team in December 2010, after having served as a freelance anchor for several months. Prior to his addition to MSNBC’s dayside team, Roberts served as a correspondent for CBS News. He also contributed to several entertainment shows including “Entertainment Tonight” and “The Insider.” Prior to that, Roberts was a news anchor for CNN Headline News. So if the KKK used a slogan, does that make the slogan evil?
If the KKK said “God Bless America”, would we be wrong to say that.
I think “Keep America America” is a good slogan regardless of who used it in the past. It’s better than “Change”, but I still won’t vote for Romney, irregardless of his slogan.

OK, MSNBC, let’s run all of obama’s speeches through a computer and find matching phrases spoken by KKK members through the years. Then we have proof that obama is a white supremecist and none of the black folks will vote for him. Go for it! Oh, wait! They LIKE obama.
These people are so hopelessly deranged.
Obama’s minister of over twenty years, the Reverend Wright, has more in common with the KKK than anyone besides David Duke. A coincidental similarity in a slogan is not code language. And MSDNC’s efforts to link Romney to the KKK and while they ignore Obama’s spiritual roots in racist religious practice show their true cynical nature. They don’t care about racism as long as it is going to keep them in power.
