Big Obama donor cashed in on stimulus. Energy company received hundreds millions in taxpayer funds

The founder of an energy company that benefited from deals involving hundreds of millions in “stimulus” money made the maximum donation allowable to President Obama’s inauguration, WND has learned.

Peter L. Corsell, founder of GridPoint Inc., contributed $50,000 to the inauguration.

Corsell served as the Gridpoint’s chief executive officer from the company’s inception until transitioning to the position of non-executive chairman in October, 2010.

Yesterday, KleinOnline broke the story that an Obama adviser who played a key role in developing the energy provisions of the so-called stimulus bill serves on the boards of Gridpoint as well as several other companies that recently received government funds, including “stimulus” money.

TJ Glauthier served on Obama’s 2008 White House Transition Team. He is widely credited with helping to craft the energy provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, also known as the “stimulus.”

Some congressional hearings might be fitting at this time in this apparently uber corrupt administration.

Yeah, Boehner will get right on that....just as soon as Zero's safely out of office.

At this point this headline and story are almost a Mad Lib. You can rerun the same story again and again: Just change the name of the corporation, the number of millions given to it, and the name of the wealthy Obama donor pocketing the cash.

It's a great scheme. Invest $100K in campaign contributions and get $100 million back in taxpayer money. No wonder the country is broke.

In my opinion, donors should be automatically ineligible for ('recused' from) government grants and other funding.

That is only addressing one half of the problem. Many times donors expect tax credits and favorable regulation with carve-outs for them. Some donors expect to see government crush competitors like the government did to Gibson guitars.

The swamp is much deeper and broader than anyone can imagine.

We need someone to do a summary story with a table showing all the known examples.

That would be list of those to be brought to justice by one means or another.

With 64 million Americans armed and many with US military or police experience, it would be very, very hard to stop and eventually the patriotic US military would side with The People and the Constitution in such an historic scenario, if push really came to shove. Just let them try it, they, our know -it- all overlords, are truly going to regret attempting to yoke the American People into socialist beasts of burden, I’ll tell ya what. The bitter “clingers” will not go out without one hell of a fight, take that to the bank.

Agreed, but you have to start pumping the $hit out from some part of the swamp.

Perhaps the recusal should be for any favor or funding from the government. A donation and a favor within 4 years of the donation should form a prima facie case of bribery.
